Surprising upset. Josh Gee (SSQ) over Derrick Motley (6th at state this year) and Jacob Clark (5th?) back to back. Wrestled great. Look for him next year
They tried to counter my argument by saying I'm a dumb*** and that Indiana has no depth. They don't realize we also have people that place high at Fargo and national tournaments yet don't place at our state? Such as Andrew Davison, Jacob Gray, Ect
You guys might have misunderstood me. I never said "when will they be scared or fearful of us?" I just meant, when will they see that our top guys would still dominate in Illinois? Such as B. Lee, Nick and Joe Lee, Chad, Streck? Maybe more. If it wasn't senior only vs senior, we would beat them no doubt with this years state lineup. Just my opinion, insight?
In all honesty, it's ignorant talk. Time and time again he has proved himself. He won Who's number 1 with pure skill. Yianni simply couldn't beat Pletcher. No excuses. When will they realize Indiana actually isn't a joke and our wrestlers are studs
I saw one of the tournaments earlier this year and "Mr. Miller" tore through it from the part I had watched. Good luck from all of the Jay Co regional sawyer
Why does it matter if you guys think the tournament would be watered down? You aren't wrestling, the kids are! If it increases their chance of wrestling in college, let's do it. You're trying to limit a kids chance of wrestling in college because of your stubborn old fashion preference. You'd rather watch a one class system than let kids get the chance to better themselves and their life in college. That's extremely selfish of you. The three class system is a need, data points to it regardless of your opinion
I think I'm finally on board with the class wrestling. It makes a lot of sense once data is present. If we want to grow this sport, this is a must. More participation= better competition
so wrestler A who blast doubled another wrestler ( b ) 3 times in a match, with B being on his knees in a defensive stance, and A on his knees as well, was a fluke? B was a regional champ. So yes, it does work against good opponents. This is a true story I saw at semi-state
so because someone has a different wrestling style/stance than you, they should be penalized? Yes we should base all rules of your style, correct? It's a smart tactic to get a better angle at legs. Dont penalize kids for wrestling smart
the Muncie central program keeps getting more solid every year. Next year should be their best year in quite a while and are sectional contenders for next year
not quite. You have Cooper at Muncie central who came from Soutside. He was a semi-state qualifier. Also, Reyes from Central was a ticket-rounder this year. Both of these kids still have senior years so Muncie South might have 2 more state-caliber kids.
Although Coy is currently injured (it's no secret, we all see by how he's wrestling) this will be an amazing match. Coy has an uncanny ability to defend shots and put people to their back in a swift manner. However B. Lees a very dominant wrestler who will not be easily beat
