Go back to taking the top 3 from Regional instead of top 4, and insert a "wrestle back" round for the ticket round losers, exactly the same amout of matches for the day.
I did think about this but do we want to cut our Semi State qualifiers by 25% ? I personally would rather keep the current system and maintain the same number of SSQ if additional matches is not an option.

Big matches, Upsets, Team performances, etc.
What all happened at the sectional today?

No problem. Appreciate all you do and the time you give!

Is there going to be an IndianaMat team state pick’em this year?
-
157 and 175 are the most wide open weights. Could easily see no wrestlers from either weight finishing the season undefeated.

I did not know that there were people out there who thought we needed 215 lb, 250 lb, and 285 lb weight classes. I have now been educated. Thank you all.

Statistically speaking is Schoeff the “best” to never win it? His finishes are 2, 2, 3, and 3.
Does any other non-champ have a finish total of less than 10? (2+2+3+3)
I know Corsaro was 2nd three times but his finish total adds up to 12 (6+2+2+2) because of his 6th place finish his freshman year.
-
Is in person attendance down this year? Can’t go off ticket sales but it looks thinner than usual.
-
Who do you all have as your top 8 for each weight?

What 4's can pull off the "upset" this year and win Friday Night?

Any changes this morning?

1. Does anyone know when state finals tickets will go on sale?
2. Are they truly going to sell all sessions tickets? You can both All sessions the same time session 1 goes on sale?

Semi-State Death Pods / Ticket Round Matches

This is an outlier example and not very common. If you received a forfeit at regional it is because you won the Sectional, so you did win some matches already but again an outlier.
I just don’t think reducing SSQ’s is what we want for the growth of our sport. The more recognition our kids can get through state advancement, team state, small class state, fresh/soph state, etc. the better.
I would be all for the idea presented if the SS’s can handle 28 additional matches.
