Koors and Lorenz from Greensburg are out. So there is some drama removed from top 2 weights.

Not his first win, he placed 5th at the Midlands.

I just want to brag on my guy a bit. Aaron Black from Greensburg placed 8th at 182 as a first year wrestler. I couldn't be more proud of the work he puts in every day. Way to go Aaron!!

Rose vs. Viduya as well. I thought Gavin had him when he hit the banana split

I think if the first four weight classes didnt need redrawn, the day would have started significantly more smoothly. The kinks got mostly worked out after round one.

Chico vs winner of Streck/Larrimore. Dexter was a monster but recency bias makes me want to say Streck. I think both had the athleticism to hang with/beat Chico

Body language of Purdue coaches vs IU coaches was night and day. Regardless of situation, Ersland and co were up on their feet, very animated. IU coaches sat with their arms crossed.

Purdue's freshman class was pretty highly touted. I think they are on an upswing. I don't follow IU much though -
I'd wager his girlfriend will get less attention than the matches being wrestled.

I suppose I wasn't clear, but I meant everyone from top to bottom. It was more a statement of how ridiculous it is that people still harp on Mater Dei for recruiting when anyone who has ever tried to build a program knows how much work the coaches of any high level program put in. My post was meant as a compliment to a great program. Sorry it wasn't taken as such

I'd love it if just to prove a point, the mater dei staff moved to a public school of similar size just to see how quickly they got back to being a powerhouse.

Personally I want to see Cain v Rhoades at 285. Might be some bias there though. Rose vs Horty at 113 and White vs Cummings should be great too. -
Greensburg has a 3.5-4 hr drive to Evansville too. I think it's a cool venue but man, I hate that drive
