  1. Does anyone know the score of the match before the injury in the 3rd period between UNDEFEATED Ben Phillips and a VERY good Tyler Williams? Thanks
  2. Im guessing the minimum amount of wins you can have ans make it to state is 8 or 9. 2 at sectional(with a bye or/and ff) 3 at regional and 3 at semi state. Correct me if im wrong lol
  3. Paul King at 126 is 17-0 I believe with a win over state ranked Pugh who beat state ranked Cash Turner so im guessing he will be in next rankings. But I have a feeling 126 is gonna be fun to watch also. Especially if one of them 120 pounders move up this tourney.
  4. Nevermind. Wrong thread. Sorry read it wrong while at work lol
  5. This kid is supposed to be pretty dang good. Dont know alot about him but have heard he is the real deal for Floyd central https://www.trackwrestling.com/membership/ViewProfile.jsp?twId=440247096
  6. I am really curious how everyone thinks Rumph would do if he wrestled in division 1 championships. has he wrestled anyone that is in division 1 any time recently? thanks
  7. I think the 1999 state finals between Doherty and Maddox was awesome to watch, going down to the last few seconds and ending with a desperation move. but im a little Bias
  8. Duh lol. Thanks. I do believe there will be another in the next 10 years.
  9. thanks so much. these will work but if you can find me an easier one to print out I will donate some bananas lmao
  10. does anyone know where I can find the big 10 brackets? thanks
  11. my brain isn't working right now. please refresh it, who is it lol
  12. well to be honest the one that came to mind to me right away was when Seltzer hit an illegal move on Bettich I believe in the Semis of state and Bettich was clearly shooken up and it looked like a possible concussion because he hit his head pretty hard. Bettich was losing pretty good and had gotten beat all year by Seltzer and he coulda layed there and took the win. If he had done so a whole lot of history would be changed. The first part that would be changed would be the 2020 team state champs would be Crown Point, the second thing would be the 120 pound state champion. also it would not allow Seltzer to have the opportunity to get 3 titles and 4x under the lights. I don't know Bettich at all but after seeing that it made me a fan for life. What I have always been told is you find out more about 1 loss about a persons character than you do after 1000 wins. Excellent Job Riley.
  13. I agree but this has a pretty good shot at happening. especially with Mendez in the mix. they will not wanna go his weight class. Cottey has been under the lights 3 times already. I don't see anyone outside of Mendez beating him by more than a few points,
  14. amazing, and I was just told on another thread that Seltzer would crush him if they met next year. I don't think hed CRUSH him. maybe 6-3 or so.
  15. I don't agree with Seltzer crushing Cottey. I think Cottey on top of Zeke could cause some problems. I could be wrong but its still gonna be the best match possible for him. Mendez likely crushes Boarman but hopefully Boarman improves a lot and has a better gas tank to give him some struggle, lol
  16. 1. Calhoun got robbed. 2. Allred has a great style for college 3. Koontz is a lot better than I realized 4. it is not gonna be near as exciting when Whitehead leaves 5. best kids I never heard of was Solomey and Tyler Jones 6.Tyler Jones will be top 4 in the next 2 years 7. Boarman is way to talented to stall as much as he did after he got leads. this is a compliment 8. I really wanna see Cottey and Seltzer or/and Boarman and Mendez next year.
  17. yeah I agree. but has east Chicago always been this far away from the top 2 semi states?
  18. I was thinking Roncalli was in Evansville. im sorry. didn't they used to be?
  19. Evansville had at least 7 before heavyweight match I believe
  20. I honestly think that Kervin wins as long as he doesn't give up back points like what happened last week against Boe.It could be the match of the day.
  21. that was a crazy year. my freshman year I was ranked 9th against guy ranked first in ticket round. my sophomore year I was ranked 3rd against a guy ranked 13 in ticket round my junior year I was ranked 4th against guy ranked 2nd in ticket round. my senior year I was ranked 4th against guy ranked first in ticket round, id love to remember Hunters draws. I know he was ranked 1 and had joey harris 1 year. I cant remember his other matches for anything at semi state ticket round. I don't think he had really tough draws the other years. I believe one year he had tanner yates again in ticket round. maybe not, cant find it anywhere. wish someone could help me find them results from semi state.
  22. OUCH that elbow hurt.Id be ok to compete in a wrestling match but im not going within 10 feet of that swingin elbow lol
  23. I wasn't there.im sure it happens but not as much as it should.
  24. I totally agree. I dont believe I seen 1 single referee change his call after getting together with the other ref at semi state. I saw at least 5 times the ref could had changed the call. I umpire baseball and the number 1 issue i have with young umpires and even some guys that have been doing it a long time is because they have too much pride. They don't wanna change a call because of pride. I have a rule that I always ask my partner if he is at least 80% sure he is right and I am wrong and I'm not 100% sure my call was the right call then I change the call. I have no pride in changing it because at the end of the day I want the call to be right so the kids are not cheated. Changing a call does not show weakness or make you look like a rookie.it it actually shows strength and makes you earn respect. Some refs have got to start taking charge and telling the other ref that a call needs to be changed. Maybe even have a replay challenge at the semi state and state. Its just bigger in wrestling then it is in most sports to get the call right because a match is only 6 minutes not 4 quarters.
