    New Haven is taking 3. Julianna Ocampo 106# and Easton Doster 113# become the 1st Freshman in school history to qualify for State. Josh Clark 285#. Clark was a #4 seed!!

    XCard, they did that a few years ago when my son was wrestling for Wabash at the DIII Nationals. They had the families sitting mat side during the Championship matches under the lights. It was really cool to see the families cheering and going crazy right next to the mat. That was the year Darden Shurg from CP won the whole thing!!

    yeah, it was. Did not want to seem like an excuse. She got home after girls regional after midnight I believe, then made weight on Saturday morning then went overtime. It was a good match!!!

    Thanks. Yeah, he is tough but those are the guys Easton loves to face. That's why he loves the big Iowa Pre Season and other big tournaments. He likes to see where he stands with these national kids.

    No but I do have it on my phone. It was a good match and Easton definitely wants a rematch. Tanner was just a bit more savvy and Easton has been working on some stuff to fix some things

    Yeah, I think she is making believers out of a lot of people. My son, Easton and her had wrestled against each other when they were little so I saw her back then and knew she would be good. You just don't know until she gets on the mat with the high school boys but she has done very well and she is such a great kid too.

    I talked to our AD at our Conference Tourney on Saturday & he said he heard it was very unlikely there would be assigned seating at State.

    Not sure if people will want the fate or their wrestler in the hands of a committee that has possibly never seen him/her wrestle. Let the kids wrestle to get the spot. Wrestle backs, make a kid prove he deserves to be there and leave the decision making to the wrestlers on the mat.

    We made my daughter do 3 recruiting forms on the college websites a week. She looked at the schools she was interested in and how the team finished the year before, rosters spots available, and other aspects of the college. She also attended camps at the schools she was interested in, this is huge. I did the same in high school and one of the camps I attended is the college I ended up going to. Make them do some work and give them a sense of ownership in the process.
