  1. State is always wild, and the perfect state bracket is more impossible than a perfect March madness bracket. So I decided to do a coin flip pickem along with my usual pickem. I followed a few rules, because straight up coin flip was way too chaotic. First, I put Seltzer, Mendez, and Carroll into the finals. Those aren't changing. So heads is the top man, tails the bottom man on the bracket. True tossups were a straight one shot coin flip. If I deemed someone as a favorite, than the underdog had to win two coin flips in a row. So say, I get tails for Jackson Ingenito vs Gabe Sollars. The next flip would have to be tails for me to pick Ingenito. Heads would auto put Sollars moving on. And in that specific scenario, I did have Ingenito pulling the upset, and to appease the coin flips rulers, I flipped several more times and continued getting tails. So here are my picks, and honestly feels like a standard chaotic state bracket. Definitely some longshots, but I'm still interested to see how much better this bracket plays out than my actual pickems. 2. Wow, can’t believe he took the cowards way out. Real men go through the rigors of qualifying out of Fort Wayne.
  3. Definitely a hike, but if your hotel is close to the area, then it’s perfect. My favorite breakfast place.
  4. I wonder how many football coaches on the sideline had to pay their way in?
  5. So did any other coaches also have to pay their way in to sectional or regional? How is this even close to appropriate for our sport? Just a complete joke.
  6. Looking at the detail, it should be the same thing. But with our luck, one of them is invalid and those tickets won’t work
  7. With two different events setup for two different times, both on Friday morning
  8. It’s cause they don’t….
  9. Sounds about the correct response from the IHSAA. Does anyone in the organization care even a tiny bit?
  10. And that’s not just the presale for wrestlers?
  11. Stop. You’re saying that Rochester seriously has the same opportunities as Crown Point and Brownsburg. Most of those small kids came out of Fort Wayne wrestling other small schools.
  12. Is it just me, or are all of the best matchups happening in the semis vs finals?
  13. Did you see what Jared Dunn did yesterday? AJ has a headlock like too. A lot can happen in 30 seconds. Good chance he still loses, but he was still robbed of the opportunity. And amazing how he was too hurt to continue, but not so hurt to blow big kisses and have big high fives with the same injured arm. Congrats to your kid on DQing his way to state, hopes he’s healthy enough to wrestle Friday morning.
  14. 4 pm bracket show on IHSAA tv
  15. That has to be the most boring big rivalry that I’ve ever seen. Has either of them scored more than 4-5 points against the other? They’re both studs, wish they would let it rip. But then, this is all from a selfish fan aspect. For those guys and programs, just win baby.
  16. Glad to be the champ of the best, most challenging and difficult to predict semi state.
  17. Joel Kennedy Monroe Central was similar at 220. Great running back and stud athlete. Came out as a senior and ended up ranked and lost in a last second barn burner to the guy who got third. Agree, it’s really only a thing at upper weights where strength and athleticism goes farther than lower weights.
  18. Just got home from semi state and I’m ready to rewatch matches from across the semi state. I know there’s a thread of big results/upsets, but I want to know what were the best matches I need to go rewatch tonight.
  19. He definitely should’ve been ranked. He looked really good at Al Smith.
  20. I’d say Clark, because he was getting pinned twice when he rolled through. Dunn had the bigger win though.
  21. Talk about a kid blowing up. Freshman year was like 18-9, lost first round of regional to the guy that got fourth at that regional. Now he’s an undefeated, dominant semi state champ.
  22. No, now’s the time to pony up for Flo.
  23. Those were completely inadvertent. He was trying to block off the sides so Currie couldn’t slide the legs in.
