Just saw in the KPC news that Suzie just signed with Eastern Michigan. This is there first year of women's wrestling so she will be getting in on the ground floor with them. My son wrestled with her at practices over the last couple of summers and I was always impressed with how hard she worked. One time she spit her eye open on his knee that needed stitches. Instead of leaving she went to the bathroom, cleaned it up and wrapped tape around her head so she could continue practice. She could not see out of the eye but that did not stop her from wrestling. tough kid, I wish her all the best. I would have attached the article but I'm not that good with computers so maybe Y2 can add it. Good luck Suzie.

Saw the updated rankings and was wondering why Gage Delong of Eastside was not ranked at 160 when Bailey Shockome is at #7 and Gage pinned him last weekend in 1:12. Just trying to get my kids noticed. Thanks.

Jeff Jones does a great job in the northeast area for kpc news. Does a good preview on the teams at the start of the season and keeps up on all the meets. -
Also at wawasee Fernando Luevano from west noble (# 15) at 126 beat Devin Childers (#9) at 132 5-3, then Kyle Egolf , Columbia City , was up 5-0 on Fernando Luevano when Fernando injury defaulted after a hard but legal return to the mat. Kyle was voted outstanding wrestler on the day and looked very good. Also Gage Delong of Eastside pinned Bailey Shockome (#7 FW SS) in 1:12 and went 5-0 on the day with all pins. Terry Nicholson and Brandon Miller of Eastside also went 5-0 with all pins.

Got mine, great mag. My family was wondering why i was staring at the computer at 8. I told them they just wouldn't understand. Now that the mags out when will the semi-state rankings come out. Great job once again.

IHSWCA Pre-Season Invitational @ Brownsburg High School

Just got home from this tournament and was wondering how the pools were picked. Was it just a random draw or did the track wrestling program pick them. The reason I'm asking is because my sons 132lb pool D had only 3 wrestlers in it and when it was all over it looked like they were maybe the 3 best wrestlers in the weight class. But 2 of them could only finsh 5th and 9th which they did. Not complaining, we had a good time wrestling and got to wrestle kids that we don't get to see during the season. Just wondering because this is the first time we've wrestled a tournament with this format. Thanks. -

I am cleaning out my garage and getting rid of my home wrestling mat. It is half of an old roll which was a third of a full mat. It is 12ft by 18ft and would be perfact for a basement or garage. Whats the costs for a kid and are they responsible for there own travel there. Also is there a weight allowance.

Great story. Its something most people dont get if they never wrestled. Basketball players play basketball. Baseball players play baseball. But wrestlers dont play wrestling, they are wrestlers.
