How will the breakdown of pools go. I know in previous years the returning top 4 teams will be on top of each pool. With that being said, will there simply be an additional team added to each of the pools? This is going to be a great day for wrestling. Looking forward to it.

Coaches, we are hosting a 6-way dual next weekend and the club is helping out with the hospitality room. We have reached out to the parents and i wanted to go a step further and ask around. What are some big hits in hospitality rooms. We will be serving both breakfast and lunch. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Placed 1st in the tournament. Props to him returning from an injury and placing 1st. Good kid. Had a few chuckles with him today.

40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75,80,85,90,95,105,115,130,150, what with a 175 max. The dual environment is pretty eye opening. If you are a growing club and want to get wrestlers excited I would recommend participating. Our first year competing was last season. We were upfront with parents regarding the outcome. Basically, we had NO expectations on our wrestlers except to give it 110%. There are all varieties of levels participating. One thing I would say, you simply have to do it.

Wish I was taking care of the online brackets and tracking. They don't make it easy on us but I guess that's why wrestlers are tough and find a way.

I think its a little late in the game this season, however I was thinking of starting an elementary league. With the number of clubs registered with ISWA I am sure we could get 10-20 clubs to join up. This wouldn't have anything to do with the standard weekend Dual Meets that are scheduled and should by all means not give any conflicts to them. However, a schedule could be drawn up, teams meet on locations and over the course of two/three months, the teams could gain an additional 6-8 dual matches in the end. If put together correctly, this could be a great addition to feeder programs and keep the level of expectations high when it comes to wrestling and what all is involved. Put it this way, we all see each other week-in/week-out. This would basically be another way to see new wrestlers outside of the standard weekend tournaments. It can work guys with a little mat burns (elbow grease to some people .......

I have been wondering what it would take for next year to have a Marion County elementary tournament. The schools involved would be the same from the high school level. Marion County has some exceptional youth wrestlers and i feel a tournament like this would be a good addition to the standard duals tournament. Feel free to chime in on your thoughts. Again, this is just a thought and maybe if we plan early enough, we can make this a reality. Thanks.

Seth Vaughn (220) of Franklin Central is a Junior. Also, Mike Riffle (195) of Franklin Central beat Winbush?? of Warren Central at Capital City Classic last weekend.

Jim Wrestling Supply is who we use. We've done our orders on the phone and each singlet made within an order has a unique number. You'll be able to use this number each year thereafter. Make sure you tell him Tyre Shelton from Franklin Central Wrestling Club gave you his name. I need some new wrestling shoes and he may send me some for sending business his way. HA HA!!

To Add, to that, Coaches should weigh their wrestlers in on a weekly basis.....for each tournament. I have spoken to many parents of wrestlers from different clubs and they have told me their children have been weighed in once. Weekly weighins per club is a huge factor in getting this under control.

Since the Beech Grove Folkstyle Open has been cancelled for January 15, does anyone know of any clubs getting together? We have many older wrestlers that are not beginners and i am sure they would like to get some mat time. Thanks in advance for any replies.
