  1. 125 - PU - 3 Camden has it rough in Big 10 duals this year, but I think he will win this one. 133 - PU - 4 Cashe was HOT, then made a mistake last week against NE, which will fire him up for this one 141 - PU - 4 Danny is still fired up from his pin Sunday and wins by major 149 - PU - 3 Nelson has also had a tough way to go. Roach is good, but Nelson wins a close one by a couple points 157 - IU - 6 Walsh loves his pins...enough said 165 - IU - 4 Leblanc wins this one fairly easily 174 - PU - 3 Probably the toughest one to call. I'm going with Kissel by maybe 3 simply because of a little more experience 184 - IU - 3 Sheridan is having a great year but Tanner is a BEAST. This will be a close match but Sheridan will come out on top 197 - PU - 4 Atwood will get bonus points in this win, not sure about a pin but definitely a major. 284 - IU - 4 I LOVE LOVE Adam. He is an great young man all the way around. It tickles me to death to see his season going as well as it is. But I can't go with more than a major here. These two know each other very well, dating all the way back to IHSAA State finals a few years ago. Alex cannot produce the offense to even come close to beating Adam, but he is a brute and somehow comes away in matches with the likes of Adam and Tony Nelson with close scores. But Adam with come out swinging and win by a major. Good dual to watch and I will go with Purdue with slight upset by a score of around 21-17
  2. The TRC meet will be held tomorrow evening at Rochester High School. Weigh in is at 4:30 and wrestling will begin at 5:15.
  3. I really would like to know the answer to this as well. Can anyone please answer this??
  4. As of now the TRC tournament will be held at Northfield on Wednesday (1/29) at 5:00 pm. Not ideal at all, but lets keep our fingers crossed that we will at least get to wrestle.
  5. I'm definitely glad to see him back. He was wrestling really well against Nagel yesterday, too bad it ended the way it did. Small mistake cost him big.
  6. TRC is postponed today. No date has been chosen as of yet.
  7. TRC at Manchester- start time is now 1:00 pm
  8. The TRC Tournament has been MOVED to Manchester High School instead of Northfield and has a new start time of 10:00 am.
  9. I still can't figure out how to get to the brackets or the rankings stuff at the top like I could before the update. I have tried adding them to my compatibility view list and no luck. I've tried going through Google instead of my favorites and no luck there either. Any other suggestions? Please help! Thanks
  10. As of yesterday's new InterMat rankings Jason is now #5 and Sueflohn is #6. I know they are all brutal at the BIG 10 tournament, but 149 has 5 of the top 8 in the nation all being BIG 10 wrestlers. Should be a GREAT one to watch!
  11. Definitely a great match. Lucky for us that dual is live on the BTN on Saturday January 4th at 4:30 PM. Chalfant and McMullan will be another great match up.
  12. I stand corrected, man time flies, seems like just last year the twins won under the lights at Conseco!
  13. For me, Purdue's most impressive wrestler from Indiana was Welch. I know there were others that placed higher and won more matches, but as true freshman his poise and mental toughness was impressive. When he was warming up it seemed as if he had NO FEAR in his eyes only determination and to come away with 2 victories at this level of a tournament and qualify for the NCAA's as a true freshman in extremely impressive to me! IU's Chalfant was their most impressive wrestler. I couldn't agree more, his match against the Michigan heavyweight should be used for a takedown clinic for young heavy's out there. He was up by double digits and was still agressively trying to score a takedown with 10 seconds left in that match. It was really something. He is a great kid and is really fun to talk to about his love for the sport. Definitely one of the hardest working heavy's I've seen. I am really excited to watch him next year. I would have liked to see him wrestle Iowa's Telford again with the same intensity he had in the match against the Michigan kid. I believe Adam wins that one.
  14. Purdue has been wrestling very well and for the most part did last night as well. What I was kind of shocked/dissappointed in last night was the lack of conditioning displayed by some of the IU Wrestlers. I'm not gonna bash the wrestlers personally, but IU received way too many stalling calls including one wrestler that gave up 2 points for just laying there with his head on the mat, and equally sad was the fact that there was just no real fire in the 3 period for hardly any of them. I did see some effort though from some of them to stall a little harder and back up more in the 3rd period to keep the match to a decision vs. a major, some of them did work hard at that! The forfiets...I still don't understand that one. There are a HECK of a lot of kids out there that would kill for a chance to wrestle for IU, I just can't understand how you can't fill a team with 10 young men in a D1 Big 10 program. Hopefully things get better next year for the Hoosiers!
  15. Dick's Bodacious BBQ. Kind of a lunch time tradition for us.
  16. I must agree. His performance yesterday was almost unbelievable! I was about equally impressed with Fletcher Miller of Kokomo as well. His semi's match where he pinned undefeated Nicodemus was crazy!
  17. Fantastic job sir! I appreciate all you do.
  18. I do not have a "dog in the fight" but I was there yesterday and was extremely disappointed in the booing. Whether the ref, the trainer, the coach, Mr. Luginbill or Mr. Malcolm was wrong, I don't know...but a whole section of people booing like they did is uncalled for at a high school sporting event and shows VERY LITTLE class in my opinion.
  19. Goose I gotta go with you on this one. I know Linnear is a great wrestler and has hardware from last year, but I watched Ross wrestle at Regional last week and he is an impressive young man. You also hit the nail on the head with the 'gas tank'...what it will take to beat him is conditioning. If Linnear can use him up in the first 2 periods I think he could beat him...again that's IF he lasts that long!
  20. In Fort Wayne at 170 Keair Ross (Kok) vs Anthony Linnear (FW North) will be a brutal ticket round match. Also at 182 Hinkle (Western) and Pfister (AC) will be a dandy as well. I think this one has been mentioned but Glogouski vs. Phillips at 120 could be a state medal match, too bad one will be watching! The Richardson (Busco) vs Johnson (EM) at 195 should be a great match at 195 as well. Gonna be a great day!!
  21. 145 is a MEAT GRINDER! I cannot believe how deep this class is. I believe that there are 5 guys in this weight class that belong in Semi State and any of them deserve and belong in the finals! The Kirtlan/Hinkle match will be as some of you say worth the price of admission. Hinkle has wrestled well all season and won a tough bracket at the Twin Lakes Invite and Kirtlan got 3rd, losing a close one to the runner up. Kirtlan lost to Quin by one point last week but had beaten him by 5 mid way through the season (at Twin Lakes). Mckee and Kirtlan have wrestled twice during the season and both have went in favor of Mckee by one point and anyone that has watched them would say "it could've went either way". Then of course Elliot won the buzzer beater over Hinkle last week. So between Kirtlan and Hinkle getting "upset" last week they will both be out for blood and that first round match will be pretty incredible!! Either one of these top 5 young men deserve to be wrestling at the Coliseum next week, too bad one will be watching! Wow...what a bracket!!!
  22. Is Wilson from Leo at 195 or 220? I had heard he had dropped to 195, but these new rankings have him at 220. Thanks!
  23. Would you like to share your pics Mr. Mysterio?
  24. Young Guns are you gonna share your predictions with us?
