Sliga is very impressive heres a guy that comes in as a True 14 year old Freshman and places 3rd at State in a weight that is always dominated by 18-19 men. Theres a lot of difference in strength between a guy thats 4 or 5 years older especially around these years. He takes 3rd two years in a row and will be everyones pick to win State his next two years. I would definitley say that this young man is on the path to be on of the best wrestlers to ever come through the state of Indiana. Is he going to be a 4x State Champion obviously not, then again show me one guy in the state who has placed top 3 their freshman and sophmore years past 160lb weight class.

What do you think guys like Devon Jackson and Mason Todd will be ranked Nationally for next year or however it works ?

I'll give it to the Evansville/New Castle Semi-State they did really well this year. Was a little bit of a down year for M'ville Semi-State but not bad at all still ended up with 4 State Champions. Also made alot of improvement at the 103/112 weight classes which historically dont too well. Lot of younger guys took their lumps this year down at State, however look at how promising next year looks from 160-285 for State champs to come out of M'ville Semi-State. No doubt in my mind we will have a guy in the finals at all 5 of these weight classes. -
Could be worse I'm in Singapore right now 3 small Cokes $18.50 with no wrestling to watch :'(

AHHH!!! I wish I was in the area .... That Corned Beef. The first time I was there I thought I would get it without the spicy mustard. That didnt happen the owner came out and basically told me I was going to eat the spicy mustard, I could tell he wanted to slap me in my face. Shapiros is AWESOME !!!

That guy that runs CIA knows his stuff ;D........ kids from all over go there. Usually turns out some pretty good wrestlers .

Yeah I agree with this one. Tough to break through with great success at a weight class like this as a Freshman, but I think he can do it if he works hard.

I counted 12 Freshman making it down to Conseco this year. Who are some of the incoming freshman wrestlers we can expect to see make it down next year? (Also put approx. weight class)

I'm going to go with Brock Bevans, I think this young man goes further in the tournament than most expect him to.

Merrillville - 4 State Champs possibly more, and 29 State Placers. Some historical information, over the past 10 years 40.7% (57 out of 140) of state champions have came out of Merrillville Semi-State. "Success Breeds Success" and not showing any signs of slowing down. Those boys up North Get Live !

Wondering if we could wait until after the brackets are out to make predictions? With a lot of weight classes seeming to be on lock this year, going to cause a lot of people to have the same picks. I would like to know if maybe we could pick the winner as well as the runner up. For example 2 points for picking the winner and 1 pt for picking the runner up. Just a suggestion.
