  1. I think Knura from Indian Creek may have something to inject here as long as he is still wrestling. I haven't seen any results from him but from seeing him last year he would be a handful for both of these very good wrestlers! Has anyone heard anything this year on #2 ranked Keith Knura?
  2. We can agree to disagree, but understand this you are the one in denial the offical called the match the way he saw it not the way you or I did, so your beef is with the offical. Aiden had his hand raised as the winner as he deserved, I just have a problem when people get on here and make excuses for a loss as if the offical had it in for a kid. Kids loose sometimes and the best way to cure that is to learn from those mistakes made and not repeating them, instead of the blame the offical game! Maybe they see each other Sat and get to continue this rivalry....Good luck to you folks Sat
  3. Even if they would have hit Kinney with a false start and assuming he had been warned previously, they still start in the same referee's position and Martin still has to stop Kinney from a reversal or escape takedown. So your excuse doesn't hold water, so lets let the kids sort it all out this weekend. Also wrestling for six minutes is not a game plan, but a must at 120lbs in this sport, I guess you didn't notice Martin loosing steam 3 minutes into the match either. Good luck again this weekend....
  4. And what were the 2 blown calls, and the mat maids video tape for the Falcons so ok you got the mat maids to agree with you? I was with Coach Tonte & Schoettle for dinner after the meet and neither said a thing about their wrestler being given the match, lol My son wrestles for another school, so their is no reason for me not to call it as I saw it in that match. When you state their were 2 blown calls you are saying the offical was so bad, that he gave the match to his non deserving opponet, I also noticed coach Fox did not argue the locked hands calls either. I'm guessing you may have had a dog in this fight. Again good luck to both of these wrestlers this weekend at county...
  5. We have had 11 matches and have only ran into 2 other Hwt's that was lighter than 260lbs.....
  6. My son also is a small Hwt 6"2 @260lbs compared to most we have seen, but if a kid is coming down from 320lbs or so I see where making weight is a issue, but would like to see these young men for more importantly health issues get their weight under control. If a 6"3 or under 15-18 year old kid can't get to 285lbs at this point in his life, then what does that say about his future health? It only gets tougher as they get older also, but a example of what can be done with a young body once you get the weight under control is amazing. We have a kid on our team that as a freshman wrestled Hwt @275lbs-280lbs, and now is our 220lbs and as his body, eating habits, excersing regiment are changing I think this kid may be about 200lbs - 210lbs when he starts college next year!
  7. How does the Hwt from Northside look this year? I haven't seen him wrestle, what does he do well and I understand this is just his 2nd year of wrestling..... Pretty impressive!
  8. I was at the match and what I saw was a kid that helped beat himself with 2 locked hands called (should have been more), and started slowing way down in the 2nd period, and had a stall point against him. When he was fresh he was tough, but we wrestle 6 minutes not 3! Good luck to both wrestlers this weekend....
  9. Are these their credentials from that season or their career? Makes a huge diffrence indeed a great lineup 4-state champs, 4- state placers & 2-state qualifiers...
  10. I think he will, and I would think the City Tourney would be the target date of his return....
  11. Who I would think may be #1 seed's for the Irish this weekend: I think 10 out of 11 are for sure... 113lbs-Ben Harvey 120lbs-Smiley 126lbs-Haas 132lbs-Larson 138lbs-Venezia 145lbs-Corsaro 152lbs-Gillium 160lbs-Brian Harvey 170lbs-Willis 220lbs-Kenny Hwt-Bernard
  12. The Irish could come away with 10-11 city champs this weekend with a couple bodies getting this week to heal, and hopefully if healthy you could see a couple more state ca;iber wrestlers injected into the lineup, I would think no less thaen 10 #1 seeds....
  13. Understand your frustration dad, but the coaches job is suppose to be in most cases is to win the duals and do what is best for his team. With that being said if your son is a stud he is going to present match up problems in close duals, and therefore he will be dodged, forfeited, etc. It is just the nature of the beast, and as a dad or even a fan I hate seeing it done, but it is going to happen. Just understand it's nothing personnal just coaches trying to save giving up or getting every point possible. Good luck...
  14. New inside info, lol so I choose to adjust my prediction to 50-9, but agian would love to see it much closer! You certainly dont have to sell me on the Rebels coaching staff (as good as any in the state), but as I stated before the Falcons at full strength are scarey good...
  15. If you remenber correctly last year I predicted the final score correctly, and I will not pick where the points are earned or who I think wins as individuals, but just will predict the final score....46-15 sorry about the confusion!!
  16. There are not many teams that can compete with the Falcons this year and on a good day the Rebels could win this dual, but knowing Coaches Tonte & Schoettle they will have the Falcons focused and at their best for this dual, prediction 46-14. I hope I am wrong and it's closer than this, but this is how scarey good I think the Falcons are this year. Good luck to both teams...
  17. Cathedral's 2 freshman had a good day Saturday, @113lbs lil Harvey won by fall in OT over ranked Perez/ and in OT over ranked at #106lbs Wilson of Tech who bumped up and ended the day at 5-0 along with freshman Evan Smiley @120lbs....
  18. You would be wrong with your statement regarding staffs that put the time and effort as Perry's does, you would be lucky to find 5 programs in the state ran as well. This is not a knock on any other programs, it's just a fact to people who go and see these coaches at all events at all levels state, national, elementary, not to mention the number of kids that buy into their system. My son wrestles for another Indy team, so no dog in this fight, just calling it like I see it..
  19. Yes, Tyler will be at 182lbs this weekend but will be dropping to 170lbs but as mentioned above he and about 4 others (a couple of our football guys will be wrestling up a weight class) had their 1st practice on Monday so not at the weight they plan on for tourney time. Also it's Manuel, Tech, Washington,IN, Warren Central, Avon & Cathedral in a dual format @ Cathedral 12/3...
  20. First action for Cathedral this year the Cathedral 6-way includes Washington, IND - Tech - Warren - Avon, and the last school I cannot remenber but should be some good match ups
  21. Misunderstood you big guy and did not pickup on the sarcasium L.E. called me laughing, so a big Nevermind! lol
  22. Why, because I asked a question based on his post, why do some have such a problem explaining their position without getting defensive? Not resorting to name calling as he has just asking a question. Do you guys have a little gang that defends each others post, because I have never seen anyone like you come to defend your buddies, instead of simply letting them explain their stance on a subject...
  23. Your the lets make it like Little League and give everybody a ribbion/trophey guy, have you ever built or been part of a competitive program, or are you the we can't compete with the big boys guy? May I ask do you coach have you coached and if so has your team ever won a sectional, regional, just wondering because you dont seem like the competitive type...
  24. I agree with you that as I see the Hall of Fame Classic as it stands is nothing more than another tourney, but where I do disagree is kids needing a week break to heal bumps and bruises. We will have kids that finish football Thanksgiving weekend and will be at practice the following Monday obviously banged and bruised, but ready the following weekend to wrestle. Do you remenber being a young to mid teen, they heal and recoop pretty quickly, I dont think time off is something that's really needed or detour a team if a way can be found to make this thing a true classed Team State Championship. Just My Opinion..
