  1. This is the year I get to work again. I’ve fallen off the last few years, but we get back on track starting this weekend.
  2. Pacific Standard is as good a time as any I guess.
  3. I hope buying tickets is as smooth and painless as last year!
  4. Can’t have a 5th alternate when the other sectional only had three total kids Ironically, the alternate for his sectional bracket is Blake Byerley, the biggest upset of the day.
  5. Congrats to our first semi-state qualifier Drew Waldon who has a forfeit in the first round!
  6. I think Feldman, depending on what Kerk does with his remaining eligibility, could really be a 4xer. With all due respect to Pitzer, Feldman was on a complete different level from him the last times they wrestled in 2021. Steamrolled him with 15-4 and 11-4 victories. Maybe I’ve got my scarlet and grey-colored glasses on, but that senior class of 2022 may go down in history for the Buckeyes. Feldman, Jesse, and Bouzakis all have potential to win 3 each. Then you throw in Geog at 197, who may have been an elite under-the-radar recruiter , and the Buckeyes should be competing for a team championship soon, or Tom Ryan needs to be relocated.
  7. West Noble 113. The top 3 seeds are a combined 73-1, with the one loss being amongst each other. #4/#17 Kamaron Straw 30-0 #3/#7 Blake Byerley 18-0 #5/#15 Drew Waldon 25-1
  8. What a thing of beauty. Hope he can finally capture a title with Gable gone.
  9. In addition to Jesse getting a big win, Mason Parris capped off the dual looking as dominant as ever, getting a fall while leading 16-5.
  10. I’ve noticed one oversight so far(well, it was pointed out to me if we’re being honest); Isaiah Meyer, freshman from South Adams. He should be at #8 at 138.
  11. Waiting for the West Noble sectional brackets after nearly every other one has been released? What is this, every year of the last decade+?
  12. Ooooh Hinton could tie the series up this weekend and set up a battle for the 7th win at regionals.
  13. Alec White had a murderer's row to win his senior year (126 lbs, 2017) Knocked off 2x champ Colton Cummings on Friday night, beat eventual champions Matt Lee and Graham Rooks in the quarters and semis respectively, and capped it off with a fall over 3x semi-finalist Blake Mulkey.
  14. I have a personal vendetta against Horn. He looked at me wrong once, so I vowed to never place him at #1.
  15. Paul Petrov’s semi-finals win over returning champion Mason Todd. 0-0 through the first period, Petrov opened up the period with an escape and eventually got a takedown catching Todd on his back for a few swipes to go up 5-0. They got a late restart, and Petrov immediately tripped him to his back again for the fall. He’d then go on to beat Brendan Campbell in an absolute classic for the championship. In retrospect, Paul had a fantastic career so maybe others weren’t quite as surprised by his run like myself. But he came out firing and showing no intimidation against two incredible seniors.
  16. I appreciate that! You’ve already given me some good info to use to this point.
  17. I mean, I’ll call it how it is: the SAC schools haven’t always been the best at posting dual results heading into this season. Some years I’ll see a guy on the sectional bracket with a great record, but can only find a small handful of head to head results they’ve had on the year. It’s hard to rank someone when all you have is their name and a couple of results to go off of.
  18. Only to a slight degree, I text Mike 5/7 nights a week to ask him what I should have have for dinner.
  19. Absolutely, tons of respect for the program. I may not have many Railroaders ranked currently, but history and results this year have shown you guys are dangerous and shouldn’t be overlooked.
  20. I’d just like to say this may be the most talented pool of Ft. Wayne wrestlers I’ve ever had to rank in the last 7 years. Top ten really doesn’t do some weight’s depth(113, 120, 195) any justice as there are some very quality kids on the outside looking in. The top ten at 152-170 are absolute meatgrinders that could go plenty of different ways. The gap between being #5 and #10 is so marginal at over half the weights. Extra shout outs to: The Maconaquah regional as a whole. A few years ago they were the butt of a lot of jokes on this forum, now they’re possibly the deepest of the four. Don’t think people want to draw into that #1 as much as they used to. Freshman, who just seem to keep popping up on the radar more and more each week. I don’t have numbers for proof, but I’m feeling confident that this year probably has the most freshman I’ve ever put in the rankings/on the watch list. Garrett, who seems to have a knack for “upsetting” kids with great resumes this year and giving me an aneurism trying to figure out what to do.
  21. They’ve actually been finalized on my end for over an hour now, Joe said he’ll get them posted in the morning. So technically, no lies. But on the bright side, you’ll be getting a #9 and #10 at each weight now.
  22. Just to keep you guys updated, I was planning to release a set yesterday/this morning, but given the amount of tournaments today figured they’d be rendered wrong very quickly. So expect the next one Sunday or Monday.
  23. Psh, yeah right. What’s next, someone on here is gonna claim they took down Mark Hall?
  24. Apologies to Joe if this breaks the rules of the the rankings to post openly, and he can delete this in the morning when they’re ready to be posted if so, but I’ve kept everyone waiting long enough. 106: 1.
