Cavanaugh riding Rooks hard throughout the 2nd period, looking to shorten this match by taking the 2nd period out of the match. He does, very impressively. 0-0 to start the 3rd. Cavanaugh now down Mat 2 Diep gets first TD, Streeter quickly responds, leads 4-2 to start the 2nd. Diep down to start the period, escapes. Diep snares a headlock, looks dangerous, Streeter wiggles out and gets the TD. leads 6-3. Diep gets a reversal, VERY NEARLY gets the fall. Coach Red not pleased. Diep leads 8-6 to start the 3rd. Mat 1 Cavanaugh 30 seconds in gets esc. VERY nearly gets TD, but Rooks wins scramble. Leads 2-1...45 seconds left. Rooks gets a nice tilt, looking for fall....Cavanaugh fighting...ROoks holds off upset, wins 5-1. Mat 2 Diep riding tough, still leading 8-6. Very competitive match. DeMien surprises with a quick TD, nearly puts Schaefer on his back...does put him on his back, leads 4-0. Schaefer responds with a reversal, gets late backs of his own...4-4 to start the 2nd. Schaefer down to start the 2nd, still looking ultra-relaxed, as usual. DeMien working hard on top, gets 2 late back points, leads 6-4 to start the 3rd period. Schaefer needs to respond or we will have our first 1 seed fall. Schaefer has 75 seconds left to work with...tried to run something, restart. reversal, DeMien...PIN DEMIEN...first upset Mat 2. Mills leads 2-0 to start the 2nd. Esc Rodrigues, TD Skaggs, leads 2-1, 30 secs left in 2nd. 2-1 to start the 3rd, Rodriguez on top, looking to turn Mat 1 Hildebrandt all over Poe. leads 8-1 early in the 2nd. 10-1 now in the 3rd Mat 2 Skaggs wins 4-2 Wright and Turner up on mat 2, Cathedral needs to win this one, among a handful of others. Turner dow to start the period, out very quickly, leads 3-0. Turner another TD, gets a tilt, leads 7-0, appears to be in complete control.. esc wright....Turner back to physically attacking on his feet, another TD, Turner looks sharp. Bocock esc to start 3rd...tied 5 to 5...td probably wins it Mat 1 Uk continuing to ride Lewis hard, leads 2-0 late in 2nd Mat 2 with an action packed finish.
