Pretty fair assessment of EC for not having seen us much.  I think Dole will take 160, and I think you have Gick a bit low at 170.  But other than that, pretty fair.

We have a dual with FC Thursday, so will have a better idea how we stack up with them.

I adjusted Gick some. you know better than I would. I am just going off what little info I can find and mostly last year stuff. Steele/Dole will be the match of the day. I know Steele pretty well and the move to 160 has really helped him. I know Dole too and he wont make it easy for Steele. Steele fell off the rankings trying to stay at 152 and wrestling weak and more focused on weight management than the mat stuff. I think this will be a real close one and I am torn on it.

RC113, I added him, thanks. I wasnt sure who was taking that spot with O'farrow dropping but I knew someone was there that O'farrow was working with.

Lambert beat Gick 9-5 at New Pal, so swap those two.  LOL  He has potential, but is inconsistent.

And I agree Dole/Steele will be worth the price of admission.  :)

FC has dual with SD tomorrow and as mentioned EC on Thursday. We have a 3 way with Batesville, Connersville and lawrenceburg on Saturday. We will have a much better idea of where people stand after these important conference duals. With that being said, I think the predictions look pretty good at this point. Humbert will be at 38, so he needs to be moved. Alex Day FC @ 45. I think Loos takes Boggs at 26 by going off what has been seen in the off season, but we will see tomorrow night how they match up. Weber lost by 1 to UC 113 and Deal has a win over UC 113. I still give Weber the advantage over these 2 if he wrestles his match, but very well could be Weber in the 3 slot and the other 2 going up 1. We will see how he does with Deal on Saturday. Of course 120 I am bias ;D, top 3 there agreed, but anything can happen with these 3. Dole/Steel match of the day!

good insight there bud! i will adjust a couple based on that and will keep my eyes peeled for some results. centerville will see union county on thursday so I will watch those guys more. loos did impress me at richmond. wrestled a great match and won against centervilles phillips who pushed bowers to the limit at spartan. where will Matt Pompell go? i wish you were on the mat at richmond last weekend :( hope you are feeling better and good luck man :)

Thanks Mak, he wishes he was on the mat too. He is feeling much better. Any news on Austin? Still in thoughts and prayers.

Pompell, it will depend on if he gets a chance to wrestle off at 45 this week, but last week might have been the last week for wrestle offs for this season.

I will give some updates on duals mentioned in last post.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe we just might get a preview to the sectional at the E.I.A.C of Dole, Steele & Nobbe. The new conference alignment could meet 3 weeks in a row :o

So that will make it 4 weeks in a row for some of the kids at those schools (FC, EIAC, Sectional, Regional).  8)

5 weeks in a row if at 160, Cody Steele Connersville (SS3 @ 160), Max Dole East Central,(SS6 @ 160), Neal Nobbe Batesville (SS10 @ 160) & Charlie Hill Lawrenceburg (SS12 @ 152), can all meet each other in the final 4 lol...come on! it could happen!!!

Vinny Who? lol

The match at 138 did not occur quite as described. Please do not make it appear as if the SD wrestler was out of control and bit anyone. You may not have been privy to exactly what transpired out on the mat. Thank you.

Ok, your right. SD wrestler was disqualified at 138 for what, yes, I assumed was a bite. I guess when I see a kid come across another kids mouth with his forearm and then then the kid jumps up off the guy during a match holding the part of his arm that was over his mouth, and then ref checks the kids arm for what I could only assume was teeth marks, and instantly DQs the kid upon inspection. Well maybe you can see how one would come to that conclusion.

I never said anything about the SD kid being out of control. I do know the FC kid got dinged a point for UR as result of a cross face earlier in the match that clearly the ref thought was to rough. I know the SD kid had just been cross faced again by FC kid with very little time left when the incident happened. Whatever happened resulted with the SD kid disqualified.

Please tell us exactly what happened and clear it up. It is not my intention to misrepresent the facts, but something happened and SD kid was DQ'd for it. From my observation, a bite was the only conclusion I could draw.

***kid went to his back and then the kid bit him. LOL, geez***

This is the part of the post that I took exception to. Yes, the SD wrestler was disqualified for an apparent bite. There was one set of teeth marks on the FC wrestler's arm. I am not going to disparage either kid in this. The decision was made on the mat at the time. Coaches understand the circumstances that occurred postwith. Other than that, your comment did seem to come off as indicating the SD wrestler bit him out of frustration or something similar due to being beaten in the match. That is not the case. Please do not presume that to be the case, either. We as coaches are working to help young wrestlers (on either team) be much more than wrestlers, and such was the case in this instance.

This call could have gone either way.  If a wrestler is cross faced (across the mouth) and his mouth is open, the wrestler that is doing the cross face can push so hard that his arm ends up in the bottom guys mouth and could get teeth marks.  I was at the match, seen the whole thing.  Did SD's 138 bite FC?  Maybe.  Did FC shove his arm against SD's mouth as hard as he could while SD mouth was open and got teeth marks which doesn't mean SD bit him? Maybe.  I do know that the FC wrestler jumped up holding his arm.  However, I also have seen Reggie Miller fall down and have fouls called against his opponents without there being any foul at all.  (Sorry to bring up basketball on this but these calls go hand in hand). I have also seen a referee call locking hands when the hands touching don't belong to the same wrestler.  So let's just say this, "The next time these two meet, SD will not let FC in the position to cross face and if he does, he knows now to keep his mouth closed tightly.  And FC will know that the hard cross face will lose him a point for Unsportsmanlike"
