Richmonds eric noe was a 4 seed and knocked off 1 seed nolan feller from franklin county. More recent was 2 years ago. Connersville was a powerhouse that sent 11 wrestlers into regionals. only 4 made it out. upsets included a very good 2 seed 33-7 bobby frasur getting pinned by centervilles 25-10 austin milliron as well as a very intimidating looking beast at 2 seed 35-9 brady bolos also getting pinned by baby face bryce robinson with record of 25-12 of centerville. predictions are fun, records can look great, but there is a reason they do have to wrestle the matches. just thought i would throw out another one that just happened last year and i have mentioned it on here before. blake wood from rushville was a 1 seed that got beat by 4 seed eastern hancocks nathan kell. also, bryce robinson from centerville was pinned by a strong headlock thrown by 4 seed from milan jake cavins. lastly, #1 seed grant kennedy from knightstown got taken out by 4 seed dustin conety from south dearborn. it happens every year and recently, seems to be more often. dont overlook anyone. He then posted this here just to troll. if you look back at his posts that seems to be all he does. one of the cronies and another internet tough guy. so that aside, i agree with you. we seem to be pretty deep this year and i come up with about the same number so im sure we are thinking the same people. bigmak Posted February 7, 2014 Share Posted February 7, 2014 170 is not only mathematically toughest by records, but its the only weight class where 3 of the 4 first round matches can go either way. all but 1 are semi state ranked. the only clear cut winner is gonzalez. the rest are all so evenly matched and i still say i would not be surprised to see it be all franklin county sectional guys at 170 moving on. with mccloskey out, that really opens up the door for someone at new castle semi state in that class as well. South Dearborns blake griffin placed 3rd at 145 in sectionals losing to franklin countys nolan feller in the semis also finishing behind connersvilles cody house. goes into regionals to place 3rd again behind house and feller but this time losing to house in the semis. goes into semi state as a 3 seed to barely make it to state placing 4th. this time even though feller did place 2nd, house was now out. goes into state as a 4 seed and knocks the 1 seed off first round. wins 2nd match against a 2 seed. loses against corsaro in the semi finals, comes back in consolations to beat faurote for 3rd place. feller placed 7th. so griffin went 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 3rd. it can happen to you!
