Coach Hull
Wrestling begins tomorrow, Wednesday, at 9 AM in Daytona Beach, starting with Greco and Freestyle beginning Friday! Should be a great event with a solid group of Cadets looking to make it happen. Let's go, Indiana! MattM
We are off to a great start against Pennsylvania. However, the box scores are showing 15pt Tech Falls, is that the case? I know they have been tweeking the rules at the national level, but the last rules changes I noticed were 7 point Tech Falls (with 10 before that for freestyle). While I believe 7 was a little low, a move to 15 points is a substantial jump up. I can't tell if this was a rules modification for Cadets, or just a manual computer adjustment needed due to the programing not keeping up with the rules. Anyone have clarification. MattM
IN couldn't hold on in the second half of the dual and dropped the match to Pennsylvania. They will now battle back in the consolations to see what pool they end up in tomorrow. While I'm sure there are a few other top level teams out there, I'm not sure you could ask for a much tougher bracket with us, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, California, and Oklahoma all together. At least its not the Freestyle pool I guess.
grecoref
The Track Wrestling computers were still set for folkstyle, thus showing 15 point tech falls. I am told this has been corrected
MattM
The Track Wrestling computers were still set for folkstyle, thus showing 15 point tech falls. I am told this has been corrected Thanks. That would explain why the winning wrestles scored was jumping up dramatically as the Tech Fall was listed. Glad to see it was corrected, since it will make things easier to follow. MattM
Rough pool for IN today but they battled back enough to make the main consolation group tomorrow. Hopefully we will see a strong finish out of the group that may have faced the toughest pool today.

MattM
A gutwrenching final match to end the day. IN Greco will finish in 12th out of 25 teams. To show the strength of the their original pool the top two teams finished 1st and 2nd in the championship pool, and the next two (including IN) finished 1st and 4th in the main consolation pool. Freestyle begins tomorrow.

MattM
Does anyone know if the Freestyle is live anywhere on the internet? From what I have read cadet duals decided not and/or couldn't to pay the fee for the transportation equipment and broadcasting therefore their will be no live streaming. My understanding is USAW does have equipment down there to provide the finals on themat.tv.
MattM
Day 1 of Cadet Freestyle IN Cadet Freestyle team looking good early with two wins to make the pool finals against California. Mattyb
Indiana has beat the two teams going for third and fourth in their pool (TN and Wash). With this said, they have secured a top 2 finish in their pool, a spot in the Gold / Silver pool, and a top 8 finish! With this said, lets not take our foot off the gas........ beat California! Great job boys!

MattM
The Cadet Freestyle Dual team was edged out by Georgia. The round robin senerio of wins and loses is making for an interesting final placement pairing situation but IN will finish up the weekend going for 5th place it seems. On a side note Illinois will once again battle Pennsylvania for the dual title. They have been in every finals for both Schoolboy and Cadet this year. With Illinois currently leading 2-1 in title matches.
MattM
Due to some crazy parody of wins and loses in the main group IN moved up to the 3rd/4th match where they finished 4th out of 28 teams. Illinois over Prnnsylvania in finals to extend there finals rivalry to 3-1.
