Scott over Humphrey in 60kg Challenge Match. Later today Scott faces Bunch in best of three series for the 60kg Olympic Team spot.

Coleman Scott DEC Reece Humphrey 1-0, 0-1, 1-0

Looks like offense was no existent or completely shut down in this one.  Hopefully a video will be available later.

I'll say again that is was mentioned before that a Oklahoma St. wrestler has been on every Olympic team (not totally confirmed) and one is yet to make it this year.  With way Scott has looked over the course of this year OK. St. may have a chance at keeping the streak going.

I'm Reese is disappointed but it was still a great run for him over the last two years.  Hopefully we continue to see him compete in the coming Olympic cycle for the 2016 games.

Also, the Beat the Streets Olympic Team Exhibition against Russia along with the Scott vs. Bunch series will be life starting at 6pm today.

I hate the ball grab!

Lose a ball grab.

Score a takedown.

Lose a ball grab.

You lose.

Sorry, Hump.  I really hope you're up for another 4 years so we can keep watching you.

Definitly a bad luck situation when you lose two draws in a match.  Especially when the odds at 2 to 1 in favor of you winning the second draw after losing first one (under current international ball system).

To bad they don't want to go back to the old battle until you win system due to (in their view) time constraints  and fear of the winner being too fatigued to compete at full strength in next match.

Scott beats Bunch in their first match.  Another ball draw win in the first.  Bunch gets a push-out in the second.  Scott dominates the third.  His 5-0 record with a win over a world bronze medalist at the World Cup had people saying Scott was the favorite today.  I guess they had good reason.  Next match at 7:25 pm if the event is on schedule.

For those of tou who may have missed the event on webcast.  The right to it are owned by NBC Sports since it is connected to the Olympic sports.  Thus, they are not making any plans to load the videos until after the TV viewing. It's listed (Russia vs U.S. Grapple in the Big Apple) on the TV guide information for NBC Sports Channel as Jun. 21st from 8 - 10pm. Replay on Jun 22nd from 7-9am.  Even though he lost, hopefully it will include Humphrey's match too.  After this showing we may also get all the footage uploaded onto the NBC Sports Wrestling page.
