Dingo Brigade
Hildebrandt gets a late takedown to steal the first period. She. Is wrestling very aggressively and Jacobson used her aggression against her to put her to her back countering a Sarah shot. Third and ddcisive match. Hildebrandt has already done a phenomenal job. Big takedown and backs for Jacobson, leads 3-0. Sarah will have to really go big to win this. Another Jacobson TD, time running out. Jacobson wins last period 6-0. Outstanding job by Hildebrandt. She will be a force on the national scene the next four years
Dingo Brigade
Howe wins first period 1-0, despite a full splits by Taylor. Howe gets a td to start the 2nd and then exposure points and another td. In full control. Devildog was right, I had nothing to worry about. He cruises into the semis against either brown or caldwell. The Iowa faithful seem to really like Howe and they seem to dislike Taylor. Great day so far by Indiana wrestlers

MattM
Better updates than what I'm getting from Track. Thanks im jelious I couldn't make this one. And I hope your phone holds out.
Dingo Brigade
Don't worry, Matt, I have my laptop here. I'm just waiting for a lull in the action to go grab it out of the media room. Howe owes Caldwell some payback. Paulson looked phenomenal in taking out Rogers. Dake and Marable was a beauty, too. Marable won the ball choice and somehow Dake put Marable down despite bouncing on just one leg. Carver-hawkeye went nuts. They seem to like Dake and Howe a lot compared with most other non-Iowans
devildog47959
Howe wins first period 1-0, despite a full splits by Taylor. Howe gets a td to start the 2nd and then exposure points and another td. I knew Howe would be too much for Taylor!! Just glad I was right!! Hope Howe can get into rematch with Burroughs Howe healthier then before I rrally think he can beat him! Let's go Andrew!! Dingo Brigade
Howe looked as quick and confident as I've seen him in quite a while. Obviously, he still has his famous defensive skills as well. Taylor couldnt get a whiff of a takedown against him. Hildebrandt going to balldraw...loses the ball grab, loses first period to isbell. Unless your name is Kyle Dake, you're kind of screwed if you lose the drawing of the ball.
Dingo Brigade
Hildebrandt loses a tight one. Lost first period by ballgrab and the second because Isbell scored the last point. Terrific performance for Hildebrandt. Beat a top-7 sr level opponent, won a period aagainst Jacobson and lost a very tight one to Isbell.
Dingo Brigade
Howe loses first period despite drawing the ball. Caldwell fought him off and Howe couldn't bring him down. Howe challenged it but it was denied. Rough start for Howe and now he has no margin for error. Caldwelll is just one of those weird matchups for Howe
Dingo Brigade
Scratch that. They appeared to deny Howe's challenge, but ultimately Howe was awarded the takedown and therefore won the period. HUGE swing there for the Juggernaut.
Dingo Brigade
another scoreless period for Caldwell and Howe, but Andrew wins the ball grab again...gets the takedown and is inthe finals......make no mistake, Caldwell made him work for it and it just a tough matchup for the shorter Howe. HUGE win for Howe and will face Dake or Paulson later today for the right to face Burroughs
Dingo Brigade
Paulson comes out guns blazing, gets a couple of takedowns and doesn't succumb to Dake's unorthodox attempts at rolling him. Wins first period 2-0. Paulson has looked really tough so far today. Never count Dake out, though....
Dingo Brigade
Scoreless 2nd period. Dake wins ball draw. Lifts Paulson over his head and slams him to the mat. THe crowd erupts. Dake wins period 2....all comes down to Period 3. Not sure who I would rather face Howe. Both are exceptional and highly dangerous
Dingo Brigade
Doesn't matter who I would prefer. Paulson with a bodylock puts Dake to the mat and then his back, wins the period. Paulson vs. Howe, each has beat the other in the past. Should be dynamite. The crowd will be behind Iowa native Paulson, but that stuff doesn't bother Howe. Dingo Brigade
Carver-Hawkeye first session attendance 12,520, which they say is a record for a wrestling OTT. This really is a great location and community for this event. You can tell they are delighted to be hosting it. One more very tall hurdle for Howe before he possibly gets the biggest, toughest test of his career so far. First things first, the Juggernaut must break Paulson
devildog47959
Dingo u rock man thanks for play by play!! Howe vs Paulsen gnna be a brawl both seasoned veterans I'm excited to see how it gos praying for the cedar lake mauller

Dingo Brigade
Russell went 1-2, beat Moore, lost to Zadick and Hochstrasser. ANDREW ALERT!!! Howe is up on Mat 3....tying up with Paulson, not much action
Dingo Brigade
Howe gets the first takedown!!!! leads 1-0, WINS FIRST PERIOD. One period away from winning the challenge portion of the bracket. Great start
Dingo Brigade
2nd period, more ties. Howe starting towork those big meat hooks to Paulson's dome. Very physical match. Howe cautioned for a quick start. Howe, gets another TD.....WINS THE BRACKET!!!! Atta boy, Juggernaut...One more to go. Great job
MattM
Should be another interesting match between the two. Burrough is still growing is freestyle with an explosive athletic takedown attack against Howe who had developed perfect position and brutal grind it out style. JB has win in the past many times on scrambles. Lets see what a year dedicated to Olympic training has done for both of these guys. Hopefully it's a memorable final and regardless of who wins USA Wrestling has a tough competitor for the Olympics.
Dingo Brigade
Dake vs. Taylor should be very interesting. Like Taylor's offense and Dake's defense better than the other's.
Dingo Brigade
Man, Dake is nasty. Ties up Taylor's arms and puts him on his back, nearly pinning him. Dake making it look easy in period number 1.
Dingo Brigade
Dake toys with Taylor before getting the fall Army wrestler Glenn Garrison announces his retirement after losing to Sanders and gets a standing ovation. Very cool
