PreparetoWin
Would like to get a better idea on the lower classes for Evansville Mater Dei. Anyone got any confirmation on who is where?
SlickRodz
Is Suter from martinsville out?? can anyone confirm this?? If thats the case we really need some 285's nominated!!! He is a good friend of my son's, I talked to him on Saturday. He did have knee surgery to repair a MCL, from preason nationals. Recovery time does have him comming back in time to wrestle a couple of weeks before the sectional. Keeping my fingers crossed as in addition to being a great wresetler this is a fine young man! NoGutsNoGlory
I'm pretty sure Raley (Indian Creek) will be at 135. He wrestled 140 this past weekend.
BodyslamU
Trevor Appel (junior) from Reitz beat Chamberlain from Central at 145. He was 5-0 at the Hill Classic. Also Aaron King was 5-0 and beat Tucker from Jasper at 171. Kuhn (103), Johns (112), Vanhook (119), Moody (125), Dowdy (135) and Reuger (140) were also undefeated. catmancool
Would like to get a better idea on the lower classes for Evansville Mater Dei. Anyone got any confirmation on who is where? Mater Dei is still experiencing lots of wrestlers at different weight classes. The football team still has some weight to lose. Two varsity wrestlers sat out this weekend because they are moving them to different spots. Mater Dei has enough great wrestlers this year for two good teams. PreparetoWin
catmancool...I am not surprised to hear that at all. Even though EMD was one of my bitter rivals in HS, I have come to respect them alot. Let me know when you hear some news please. There is so much good wrestling down there and I dont get to see any of it. At least I will get to see EMD at Jeff Classic.
jap1971
Should be some good wrestling this weekend at EMD with Bloomington South, Castle, Jeffersonville coming to Mater Dei along with Jasper and Greencastle. Should be s0me great matchups. Mater Dei also has Memorial on Wednesday night. Great week of wrestling.
catmancool
Where are semi state qualifiers Raben and Vibbert? My mother loves watches them especially little Vibbert. Last I heard he was going 119 but he seems small from what I remembered. Also heard that Henderson was going to 119. Is that true?
jap1971
Vibbert is going 103 to try to win that spot, Raben is going to try to win the spot at 152 from what I have heard. Henderson is wrestling 125 again this year. I haven't heard anything to believe he will drop to 19. It is a deep room this year at MD.
catmancool
Sounds like Mater Dei has some extra wrestlers to spare. I am sure there are more than a few schools that will take your extra semi state qualifiers. Wow

catmancool
Lets get these weight classes to 6-8 wrestlers in each. jap1971
If Mangold won today I think he will still have to beat May again to win the spot. Until then I would expect May to be at 130. Beyond that I think his options are limited.
beaner2
Maybe 9-2. I believe he was up on Grubb by 2 or 3 points and got caught. Not sure about other W's and L's. Lost to Grubb and the Goshen Kid...15-2 on the year
jap1971
I think Wedding is going to have to move way up at 119. Jake Lannert from MD should make the list after beating both Boyd and Mann Saturday at 140. Lannert looked like an animal today.
toughguy
preston wilson was added to the top 10 in the overall 125 class and should be at least ranked 2nd or 3rd in this semi-state

catmancool
I understand Vibbert from MD will be going to 103 after all. May take him another week or so to get there, but you can plan on seeing him there by Christmas. simms from mater dei still off for injury with Alex schneider taking second place today in his spot. Mangold won 130 from Mater Dei wrestling in place of Lennie May right now. Vibbert made 103 and won some pretty tough matches only loss today again to Boomsma 7-0. Nathan Wright 215 came from nowhere and got second for Mater Dei. Without Simms, May, Hassler, Riggs the Mater Dei team today was still strong and coming together. When these other kids add to the team they will be seen at state
