mtv2112 Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Best teams that don't have a chance to do what?Strive to become better wrestlers,create pride from their own who had written off a once struggling program,do things never before done in the history of their respective programs,build STATE CHAMPIONS?Many of these teams have one hell of a chance to achieve all of these feats.What an idiotic thread and support of said thread! Relax, put away the "coach speak" booklet, and get down off your soapbox. This is a discussion board and the question is obviously best teams that won't go beyond their sectionals because of the power of another team, as many of the posts say. Of course all wrestlers have a chance to create pride, become better, etc. But some teams won't go beyond their sectional because their sectional draw is just unlucky. nutsdad Posted October 8, 2009 Share Posted October 8, 2009 I disagree with saying "doesn't have a chance"....I will instead say the best teams NOT to advance in the team tourney. From there I will vote for teams that place 2-4 at the EVANSVILLE Sectional. Reitz and Memorial are always ranked in the top 15 poll year in and year out. Mt. Vernon has made a place at the table as well placing ahead of both squads last year. These three teams have always been left out of the mix due to the fact that they share the state's toughest sectional with Mater Dei. My hat goes off to ALL the wrestlers in this sectional. Mater Dei Decent size community with around half the third largest city in Indiana to pull from. And they keep getting people with the same last names every so many years too. Crazy how that works.
