tskin Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 Well honestly I think they have some talented kids that had no head to head comp and might of not seen varsity time last year so didn't fall into those seeding criteria either. Boot Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 I've known coaches who would purposely get their guy seeded low to go against a #1 or #2 seed early and get them out of the way, especially if the kid wasn't very well conditioned. Kendrick Posted December 16, 2008 Share Posted December 16, 2008 There are numerous seeding critierias for this tournament, Past State tournament history is a major player in the seeding at Jeff, if a kid is a freshman, or its his first year on the varsity its really hard to get seeded unless you beat someone ahead of you head to head.
