    You need to work 3 sectionals before advancing to regional then 3 regionals before advancing then 3 semistates before advancing to state. You are allowed to advance to the next level in the same year as your 3rd sectional, regional or semi state.

    This probably wouldn't be possible during regular season tourneys due to the 45 minute rest between matches, but for the state finals there is plenty of time to random draw the finals. Another option would be to set the finals in an order where the most anticipated match would be at the end. I agree, the big guys have be getting the short end forever.

    Been to every final held in Indy since 1982. Missed out on 1985 finals that were snowed out. So 31st year.

    Terrible situation for both sides. I do believe the rule says that a coach or wrestler may default a match at any time during the match . I think this was put into place for situations like this where a coach may default the match during recovery time if he choses to do so. We saw this happen at State when Gelen Robinson slammed a kid ( can't remember the school} while leading pretty big. The kids coach didn't want to win like that and injury defaulted before the recovery time ran out. Both kids are underclassman so good luck the rest of your careers.

    I would guess since first round is at 9, that the ticket round would be 11:15/11:30ish. Semis approx 2pm.
