  1. Greetings!

I am the head wrestling coach at Carroll Middle School in Fort Wayne. I am posting to see if there are any openings for Saturday middle school wrestling in January or February? Ideal Saturdays would be -- 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, or even 3/9. Would be wiling to travel slightly out of the Fort Wayne region if necessary. Either reply to me here or send me a dm! Thanks in advance!

  2. While this whole discussion is extremely nuanced, I think these sort of additions/changes would generally help to grow our sport in the state (should be our ultimate goal). I don't know what it would look like, but I'm a big proponent of "do what the best do," and always look to the states with the best collegiate results.

Go figure, Indiana was the last state to allow Sunday alcohol sales, and now we're the only state that doesn't do true wrestle backs...

I'm not interested in arguing over the internet. Once you change your name to "ILUV2READ," maybe we can have a civil conversation about the reality of American society changing for the better or worse.

Agreed, DMG. Does no good to argue on high school wrestling message board. I just don't have such a negative view of the youth in this country like you. Rather than bitch about how you perceive the youth of America, how about become a coach or instructor so that you can pass on traits such as toughness and grit to the future generations? That is way more productive than pissing and moaning about it on a high school wrestling message board. And, if you already coach, then you should know we have a lot of power to make the changes this post is talking about.

Here is what it gave me for the top 50, and it doesn't have Bellmont cracking the top 50 all-time teams. I think we are safe from ChatGPT taking over the world anytime soon. I'm not saying it will not happen, but at the moment Sam could do a better job with this off the top of his head with pen and paper.

  5. Class wrestling does us no good, guys. For crying out loud, I’m sick of seeing the classed states having the highest numbers of AA’s across all levels of the collegiate sport. The best states are classed. I know we love our one champ thing. But that is novelty. It doesn’t really prove anything in the grand scheme of thing. I’m probably biased since my brother won a classes title, but I say do what the best are doing.

According to Google, Mishawaka has a school population of 1492. Not a small rural school, but not one of the big boys.

Still not a small school by any stretch of the imagination. I'll  throw in their crosstown rivals, the Penn Kingsmen, who also won a title not long ago. Another large school..
