West Central was at Winamac this weekend. They beat Winamac 42 to 24. ;D They beat Caston 43 to 27. They beat Mississinewa 54 to 14. THey unfortunatly lost 41 to 285 to Culver Military. They got 2nd over all on the day with 4 individual Champs. 140 TJ Wireman, 145 Trent Mullet, 215 Brice Tanner, and 189 Steven Masters. Very Proud of all of our Wrestlers they all did a great job.

The only loss for west central was at 125 Hunter Holliday (9) and a forfeit at 160. Frontier gave up 103, 112, 119, 135, 140, and 152. But Wesct Central didn't have a 112 either.

West Central Dominated over Frontier last night 48 to 12 I believe.

Delphi is not going to be there. Not sure who is taking there place.

Girls on High School & Middle School Teams ??

I thought it was 5% for boys and 7% for girls. That's what our coach told us.

My Daughter does ;D This will be her 4th year wrestling 1st at the high school level. She is so excited!!! and so are her dad and I!!! LOVE LOVE WRESLTING!! so glad that the season is starting!

as of today her record is 5 and 4. She came in 4th in our conference. all 5 wins are pins. so proud of her!!!

That would be great!!! My daughter has a huge meet on Saturday at Rochester, and we don't get done til around 5, so there is no way we could make it.

My daughter is an 8th grader at West Central Jr Sr High in Francesville. As of last night her record is 3 and 2. All 3 wins are by pin. Her losses are split one by a pin and the ohter by points. We have Midwest Conference this weekend at Caston. Last night as I was leaving the meet I overheard the coach from the other team and one of his kids' parent talking saying that girls should be matmaids not wrestlers. It really upset me. Then I realized they were most likely the parents of the boy she just beat in 21 sec, and they (the dad) couldn't handle it.

Where are some places that I can find girl cut singlets. I got 2 from eatbay.com in the last couple of years, but cant find any on there now. Plus i am looking for one like Sarah Hildabrant wore in the WNDU interview. My daughter really liked that style. Thanks to anyone that can help.

I have a DAUGHTER that wrestles! There is nothing sexual about it. She goes out there and fights hard. She works just as hard as the guys on the team. I think if a girl wants to wrestle and is willing to put the time and effort into the training more power to her. She is only an 8th grader this year but she plans to wrestle through out high school too. Her dad is an assistant coach. Do you honestly think that if he thought it was sexual that he would let her do it. Come on if it is sexual I would be more worried about 2 boys out there together. I think it comes down to the fact that most people who disagree with it are either scared that they or their sons will get beat by a girl. You can't look at it that way she is just another wrestler. If the IHSAA would make an all girls team she would join it, but as for now there is no IHSAA girls team. SO all you that are complaining DEAL WITH IT!!! My daughter is going to wrestle.

Devil I agree with you I think it will be between WC and Winamac just like last year.

Not all the teams from sectional are in this conference, so it could make a big difference when u add the others in.

When does your middle school start?

West Central's started 1/19. We don't have our 1st meet til Feb 11. I think it's kind of strange that the start time for middle school is all over the place. I would have thought it was generally the smae through out the state. guess i was wrong. -
Not sure about the time but i believe it is at South Newton. Rehn from WC is a returning champ.

It seems that The IHSWCA and the IHSAA keep pushing it off to the other, so that they don't have to make a decesion.

I agree!!! Whitko did a great job. We had never been to one of these tourneys, but I was very impressed at how well orgainized it seemed to be. Loved that we were done by 11. It was a great day.
