  1. All Lance's titles were in the 80s
  2. IDK I'm a schontube fan and i would definately be rooting for him, but Maurer was a beast his senior year and he beat a very good Dolly his Junior year!
  3. Remember its not about resumes its about who we think would win? 2001 Wagner or 2006 Larimore! Y2 done such a great job with this board maybe we can get to make a time machine and get this match together. LOL
  4. I think Deckard was one of the four that won state that year for LN in 1992
  5. Whats up with Brady at 145? I thought he has been wrestling 140
  6. Maldonado, Pendowski, Balash, are the ones I can think of in the region that either have five or close to it.
  7. Joey Kelly from Chesterton IMO should get a seed. He pinned DeLuna from Merrillville and is starting to come out of his shell.
  8. Awood3 is going to be upset, but thats makes 160 more interesting. Stahl vs. Corpe was one of many a lot of fans wanted to see. Hopefully we can see Quiroz vs. Corpe, this should be a great one for the fans to see!!!
  9. So far this year twice a tournament or dual has started early, and once a dual started over a half hour late. On 1 of the early ones I missed my son wrestle. I am a big fan of High School wrestling, I try and make a tourney every weekend. Its hard even as a fan to go sit and wait because they are unorganized or I get there right on time to find out things were running smoothly so they started early then scheduled. I Know running a tourney can be difficult and unexpected situations can happen, but we are our own worst enemy when comes to promoting wrestling. I think as Coaches, Parents, even fans need to start offering their support and help. I've been to tourneys and seen the head Coach doing 10 different things. Us parents need to get more involved or Coaches need to ask or just demand that the parents help. Our sport has grown here in Indiana IMO its headed in the right direction, and I personally will try and do what I can to make sure we continue to head that way.
  10. Yeah , that s funny it looks like he is falling on his face. I totally forgot about the helicopter he did after winning state!
  11. When is the next time the Rankings will be updated? I noticed some of the weights dont match up with the state rankings. No hurry, I was just wondering
  12. Yeah I was forgetting Taylor He's good and should compete right up there with the best of them. I was looking at some results and seen that Porras had a 4-2 match with Lamb. Does anyone have info on the match? Was it as close as the score? I've seen Frankie control the whole match and only win by a couple points before. Regardless 2 point decision still gives the your opponent a chance to win til the very end. Controled or not
  13. I just have to say I think region royalty is right. It get old hearing the same thing after a big name wrestler loses and somebody has to get on here and talk about how sick the wrestler was. The fact is he felt well enough to wrestle, unfortanely for him he lost. We shouldn't get on here and try to discredit the opponents big win. Most of us on here have some kind of experience with the sport, wheather its being on the mat, coaching or just a parent. We all know during the winter season we start getting ill it come with the territory. Hawkins IMO is a hard working top of the notch as classy as they come athlete. He probably don't like people going on here making excuses for him wheather its a fact or not. Lets give credit where credit is due and sit back, cause the next match between these two is going to be a good one! Good Luck to Both!!
  14. Is anybody else having problems with the rankings page? Mine will only pull up 103 to the top 3 at 125.
  15. No I don't. My understanding of what the region is, since I was young is the northwest tip of Indiana. Basically Lake and Porter County. Some people will dispute an even smaller area than that.

    ECIC

Just wondering what does the ECIC stand for? Sounds like some good possible match ups! Good luck to all!!!
  17. I would have to say Porras is the clear favorite at 140. Lets not forget Thorton at 125, that adds some depth at that weight class with Gregory and Napules
  18. yeah it was an exciting match! The Adams coach is intense! I thought at some point he was going to get in there and wrestle. It was a good win for Chesterton!
  19. I would probably agree at 152. As far as the other 2 I think I might be a little biased also, being from the region of course. I just think Kyle is as tough as they come and Cleveland is hungry. Not to say the other kids don't feel the same but it just my opinion. We 'll see next week, One thing for sure its going to be some good wrestling!
  20. I say Ayersman gets the win over Beck. Should be a good one to watch. Also how about the Stahl vs. Corpe match, That should be a real good! These 2 have been practice partners the last few years maybe more depending on MS and weight. I had heard that Stahl always handled Corpe in practice. Now we get to see those 2 go at it. There is a big difference between wrestling somebody in practice and a real match(if its true). Lets hear some picks! Also Ill take Cleveland over Lentz. This should be a good one, should be able to keep people from leaving early with that match up.
  21. Before I left I had seen about 4 matches that went down to the last second. Not sure if it would of made the difference in who won the dual. But they could of split 7 matches apiece. Then it would of came down to bonus points. Which was in favor of Goshen, they wrestled with a lot of intensity. Good job to both Teams!!!
  22. Congratulations CLAY!! Looking solid this year.
  23. Goshen Won again. They looked very solid. I was told they had only lost 1 match going into the final round with Hobart. They were in control 36-0 when I left heading into the 119lbs weight class. I imagine Porras won, but didn't stick around til the end.
