Although I can't say for sure, I would bet if you are from the Indianapolis area it would be ok. If you are from the northern part of the state then you would need to print the card and have 2 additional forms of identification.

It isn't not wanting to wrestle it is the competition level doesn't get to a point that its worth it until FS/GR State. For example Nick Lee is a returning Pan American Champion. Is it worth his time to go to the local tournaments? Realistically the answer is no. His goal is to be an Olympic Champion he has made that clear so he will end up doing the 2 qualifiers but only because he is being forced to. He would be better off spending that time and money required to do that to go train at one of the OTC's. But in order to wrestle the biggest FS/GR tourney in the country he has to show up and wrestle 1-3 matches and waste a weekend he could have gotten better. This

Indiana's biggest studs will do the 2 qualifiers they will make it happen. Just because that is the only way to go to Duals or Fargo (Not sure if Jr's have too since its a committee selection) But your telling the middle of the road guys hey come wrestle the same guys 2 weeks in a row  when they could be out at Camps or national tournaments that offer better looks and partners.

People here know my thoughts on FS/GR but I am not stupid. For our studs who make it clear what they want to accomplish I'm running fs/gr workouts to prepare them. That number isn't huge but I am not going to force my kids to do something when there are arguable better training opportunities out there.

    Just my 2 cents.

Now that my wrestling career at Avon High School is over I would like to thank all the coaches and people who have helped me become the wrestler and person I am today. Thanks to my high school coaches you guys are a second set of parents to me and helped me through my darkest days. To my teammates you guys stare my backbone and I wouldve never gotten as far as I did without you. And to all my other coaches that I have came to your club thank you for all of the knowledge you have given me to further my wrestling abilities. Finally to every person who I have even talked to at a wrestling tournament and has told me how I wrestled great or tried to help me back up when I was down thank you it really means a lot to know how sto eg of a wrestling family Indiana is as a whole. To all of you seniors wrestling this weekend go out there with no doubt in your mind that you will win don't hold yourself back.

I remember a 4 from Ft Wayne up 7-2, and spladdleing a 1 from Merrilville on Friday.  Just wrestle. Who cares if the brackets changed? I think that same 4 from Ft Wayne went on to beat the 1 from Evansville too.

Let me start with saying we have many great ambassadors in this state for youth wrestling, and wrestling in general.  In no way is this to be taken as critisism for how we do things; however, it is an observation on how something very successful was done.  What we need in this sport is encouragement of all levels of wrestlers; thus, leading to growing numbers at all of our tourneys.  Some kids are really advanced, and some are not regardless of years experience.  What is disouraging to some is to come to weekend tourneys that have 12-16 kids in a weight class, which necessitates elementary aged kids wrestling 6-8 times with full wrestlebacks, and not leaving until dinner time.  A recommendation is to start running some tournaments with 8 man brackets.

This weekend we attended the Spartan Rumble in Danville, Illinois.  They had 700 wrestlers. Tourney started at 9:30, and they were pulling tape off the mats at 3pm.  We drove an hour & half, and I was home by 5:45.  They ran all 8 man brackets with blocked weights
& staged all kids by division.   What this also does is gives all of our kids confidence they have a chance to place. I am not saying all kids should place(i.e. get a trophy, medal, Etc.), but giving kids confidence leads to them sticking around & enjoying the sport.  Wrestling 6-8 times to place 4th, 5th, or 6th doesn't do that in my opinion.  Many times getting a taste of success can encourage kids with confidence, and that can give them motivation to not only stick with the sport, but work harder to get to that next level.

We all know how how much hard work it takes to be successful at this sport. Not only for the wrestlers, but the time commitment, financial, and emotional obligations of the parents.  The above example proves that reducing bracket sizes can speed up tournament.  All our parents were shocked & ecstatic it ran so fast with a completely packed gym...700 wrestlers. BTW, shockingly they did not use Trackwrestling for matches.  Good old fashioned bout sheets.

Just my 2 cents.  Thanks everyone for all you do for this sport.

I have coached kids who were not as talented and would get beat 9 out of 10 times by a certain wrestler and once down 13-0 threw a head lock and caught him.  Even as a coach you cheer, chuckle, wipe the sweat from your brow and thank goodness luck was on your side that day.  Then you hope you dont wrestle that kid again because you probably wont get lucky like that again.  If that is a scrub mentality I guess I am a scrub...lol So I think they were wanting to know with the original question was if both the wrestlers looked equal prior to getting pinned or was one wrestler being dominate before the pin.  Being a realist is a far cry from a scrub mentality. Sorry to interrupt, dont know much about either wrestler, just wanted to add my 2 cents.
