  1. I'd like to throw Scott Co. wrestling into the discussion as well...
  2. Well, I took your advice and read the post again, and I have come to the conclusion that you and I have two very different interpretations of what has been posted. The majority of individuals who have commented on this topic have expressed their admiration for the heroic efforts of Jack Chastain as he competed with the flu. However, when someone complemented the performance of the winning wrestler, you appeared to become very defensive.
  3. At the same time, if my son (and I'm not implying he's yours) were to lose a match due to illness or injury, I wouldn't shout that from the rooftop either. Athletes battle through sickness and injuries all the time...it's part of competing.
  4. Why did Coach Snyder leave Mishawaka to go to Brownsburg? I remember how dominant those teams were, and there was no sign of them slowing down.
  5. Is the ISWA selecting the Junior Duals team by committee now? Maybe they're trying to maximize seeding points to make a legitimate run at F/G national titles! I think the duals location is moving from OK to CA or MN. If it's moved to CA, then would they fly one team to compete? If it's in MN, I assume they would charter buses and a second freestyle team would be on the table along with one greco. Any thoughts or inside information?

  7. Win if you can...lose if you must...But always, always cheat. -George Washington That was Jesse "The Body" Ventura. George Washington used this quote in his inauguration speech.

  9. When did the blood time rule come into effect? I saw Jerry Lawler and Superstar Bill Dundee go at it a couple years back, and it was one of the bloodiest wrestling matches I've ever seen. Did the referee stop the match to clean up blood? NO! Did the referee stop the match when Stone Cold Steve Austin had blood running down his face (even in his teeth) when Bret "the Hitman" Hart had him in the sharpshooter? No! You can't just stop a match because there's a little blood flowing. I mean...come on!
  10. The website looks great, Coach Eppert! Really nice job on the photo gallery.
  11. Lawrence has filed a formal protest. The controversy deals with what happened after Laruso's semi finals match. Lawrence claims that an Oriental man came into the locker room area, rubbed his hands together and "magically healed Larusso's leg." Lawrence believes the Oriental man (possibly Mr. Fuji) injected him with a banned substance allowing his leg to heal instantly.
  12. Daniel Larusso (Team Miyagi) beat Johnny Lawrence (Team Cobra Kai) in the finals of the All Valley tournament. Larusso was injured in his semi finals match when when his opponent (also a member of Team Cobra Kai) illegally swept his leg. I thought this team demonstrated very poor sportsmanship throughout the entire tournament. I actually heard one of the kids yell at Johnny Lawrence during the finals to "put him in a body bag." You kiss your mother with that mouth?
  13. Why is team state not held at Center Grove anymore? What is the date? I couldn't find it on ihsaa.org.

  15. Which wrestler at the individual state finals wrestled most like a honey badger? Is there someone that stands out in your mind who was ferocious and just didn't give a crap?
  16. I agree with Mr. Boston as well...these guys have tremendous resumes and are considered by the wrestling community to be elite level coaches. I just heard through the rumor mill that Coach Crousore was only temporarily taking the head coaching position because he is also the principal at Lawrence North High School. Maybe I was mistaken. It does strike me funny, however, that there was an earlier post blaming the administration for the lack of support and the downfall of LN's athletic programs.
  17. Quote from: wrestlersrgreat on January 13, 2012, 06:29:23 PM LN has no feeder program, new coaches coming in next year and they don't promote the sport. Dont blame the kids, blame the administration! Just look at their football program and they have 3,500 kids in the school. I appreciate your insight, Mr. Boston. Do you have any idea if a search committe has been assembled to find a coach for next season? It was my impression that Coach Crousore was only going to serve as (interim) head coach this season. Who would you like to see at the helm?
  18. Slater from Bayside vs. Needick from Valley in the city championships. If I remember correctly, Slater ducks him then supplay's him. The move should have been called illegal giving Needick one point for his unsafe return to the mat. Great match!!!
  19. Warren hasn't interviewed a single candidate for the position.
