  1. I believe Daniel's brother wore a superman singlet in his first state championship match. So it was mandatory
  2. How many, if any, 4'th placers from regionals placed in state? Who was the highest finisher? I'm curious if the addition made a big impact at the highest level.
  3. Mental Attitude award went to Taylor March I believe.
  4. Chalfant's celebration scared the s*** out of me. That guy looks like he's out of a comic book or something. Congratulations Chalfant.
  5. Agreed. Very dominating performance against Todd.
  6. You beat me to it! The last period was amazing. Daniel Young is a man, that is for sure. To get caught like that and to keep his composure was really great. Congratulations Daniel Young!
  7. The Sandefer Spin!! Haha, I like to see the celebration. They definitely have earned it.
  8. Is anyone else getting a really choppy feed? Mine keeps freezing and jumping around. Right now it's froze with Kief on his back.
  9. These are my picks having not seen a single one of them wrestle this year other than the archived semi state videos Phillips Kieffer Wright Tsirtsis Spencer Richey Sandefer Young Mcmurray Runyan Duckworth Shrewsbury Lentz Chalfant On a side note; What in the world happened to Roach?
  10. Why are you so worried about this to the point where you want them banned from use by males?
  11. I'm sure there's a multitude of reasons. In the school I graduated from it was mainly because of the basketball players. They loved to tell us that we were "gay" and we like to hump guys, etc. They had no respect for the wrestling program, which was far better than the basketball program. So naturally we talked smack back to them. And our coach always told us if wrestling was too hard to go play for the basketball team haha. And I can understand where coaches hate it because it takes away some of their most promising youngsters. Instead of choosing to wrestle and be good or great, they choose to be a mediocre basketball player. I, myself, have no problem with basketball. I enjoy playing it. I'd rather watch wrestling any day of the week though.
  12. Haha. Yea, they ONLY have 5 state placers!
  13. I too appreciate any updates! We're 14 hours ahead here, so I won't be awake until the finals
  14. I believe D'Marcus Spencer is going to take Conseco by storm this weekend. I see him beating Harper with his shoulder problem and winning the title. He's a very big 130 pounder. With a healthy Josh Harper this would be a different story of course. So what are everyone elses bold predictions for state?
  15. Happy Birthday. Good luck next weekend. Hard road to the finals with Sullivan and Mosier. I hope to see you and Mosier wrestle, that will be such a great match. I'm sure you'll be ready though, heck of a show you put on last year at state!
  16. I'm not a big fan of Mishawaka, but I've always rooted for Harper. The kid is a class act, and you can just tell how hard he works. I hope next weekend he brings home number 4. Good luck Josh!

Is that article online by chance? I've been out of the loop the last 5 months.
  18. A lion's roar can be heard up to 5 miles away.
  19. Rochester regional is sending 17 I believe. 9 of which are Mishawaka.
  20. Wow, that is an upset! Did he get caught or was the other kid having a great match? What was the score prior to the pin?
  21. I'm on a Mac, so I'm looking with Safari! :-\
  22. There are 2 from South Bend that come to mind for me. Bill Flatt from Riley. He's turned quite a few kids into state medalist wrestlers. He has also put together tough lineups from top to bottom. The other is Al Hartman from Clay. He is the youngest coach ever inducted into the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame. He really gets the potential out of his wrestlers, and usually has at least one at state every year. He has somewhere around 350 career wins I believe. I've been coached by both and they definitely made me a much better wrestler.
  23. Thank you. The site is kind of messed up for me. The names are all whacky and they've only updated 4 matches. I really do miss the Merrillville Semi State and State. It's one of the hardest parts of being here ;D
