I almost said that migth be the worst prediction I have seen but then i read "no particular order in finish" I'd say its pretty accurate.

I would say it was marginal on Luigs losing...he probably should have gotten back points but who knows, he also could have been pinned too. The Lee-Todrank match was officiated about as bad as you could officiate a match. Not sure if the ref has much experience but for him to allow the constant backing up by Todrank without hitting him for stalling was a joke. Then to top it off, how do you let a guy smack someone in the face over and over - right by the eyes and not call a violation? If thats legal then I guess you are going to see a lot more kids try that tactic. I'd be shocked if McDaniel doesn't place at state, the kid is the real deal. Should be some great matches next week at Castle. -

Wargel comes out on fire and handles Dixon. no way does konrath win....may not even wrestle but he'll default out of championship match. last prediction - toddlockyear pops 6 xanax between friday evening and saturday afternoon...NOTE: DO NOT MIX WITH ALCOHOL (besides, alcohol is banned on school property)

you are correct...the way we seed this is ridiculous. and if you say we are wimps then lets get rid of ALL wrestlebacks at every level and only the champs should advance. all rat tails should draw into the lowest seeded wrestlers...its pretty simple. -

ok...i was wrong on Schnell. I thought Jourdan would win 10-7. My idea of a fair share was 3-4 matches so I was wrong again.

I will bet money that Schnell and Jourdan will be within 3 points either way. MD will win, fairly easily but Castle will win their fair share of weight classes.

i don't know if "wasted" is the correct word. He is dealing with a serious injury so its not like he isn't trying to wrestle. Hopefully he will make it back for sectional and make a run to state.

138 - why is it so huge to get the 2 seed? I doubt the 3 seed is really any different than the 2? Kyles will be at 220 and be a beast. hopefullly ferguson makes it back. my pick to miss the bus is hook and half.

the ihsaa will not waive this rule, very hubris to even ask as if wrestling is more important than any other sport. someone suggested that there are other tournaments out there with just as good competition and probably even cheaper.

not impossible but seeing how he is a KY parent, I doubt he is going to be at our state finals. With that being said, they should at least use him at the KHSAA state finals.

Redd and the Lee brothers were very impressive. I was very impressed with Lampe too. Physically he didn't match up with Stevenson but he still got the job done. As always, Franklin wrestlers looked much more put together than most at the upper weights. I wonder if this is because their kids don't try to cut so much weight but instead focus on muscle building year round? Saul Ervin is 10 times better than he was last year and will probably end up being a 4 time Holiday classic champ. Overall, a good two days of wrestling.

couldn't agree more. While I think its ok to say you think Lee will win, it doesn't seem right to say "so and so" has no chance.

fyi...purdue is at the bottom of the big ten in funding their basketball and football programs too. I like how great the academics are at the school but we need to throw a lot more money towards the athletics.
