  1. I 'll probably be the loud and obnoxious fan, but im a one man wrecking ball
  2. Seve DUNCAN is IN!!!!! And it will now be my #4 over #1 watch list, because it could very happen, Duncan is streaky, if he gets the 1st takedown he is very hard to beat
  3. Mullins last lost was vs. Hawkins, and then he placed fifth last year, obviously Hawkins won @ 112. Hasn't gave up a single takedown, SOMETHING has to give Saturday morning!!!!!!!! I would like to see how the 2 react from giving a possible takedwon, it will be interesting.......
  4. Thanks Mr. Kieffer 4 clearifying that, good luck to ur boys, they both can make some big noise and get under the lights!!!
  5. Yes he is a very wierd wrestler, I have seen very few strenghts except for his ability to defend shots from his opponents, he was very surprising Saturday, especially in defeating Wright from TECH, he wrestles more like a heavyweight who doesn't want to be aggresive in fear of making a mistake, I think he could have beaten Buchanan but Barrett tried to throw with a kid that only throws, and it didnt quite work so well. best of luck to him at State, this year was a very weak 215 at New Castle but nonetheless Barrett did a great job getting through and going to COnseco as a Senior, still one of my best memories when I wrestled.
  6. They too the mat and just shook hands and the ref just raised Connors hand and I had no clue , it caught me by surspise, I thought we were good to go, I was VERY upset that they didnt wrestle, i think he had a minor injury, well he dodged Mullins to get healthier and Now he can't dodge TSIRTIS
  7. I agree 100%. Not many bad calls, they are only human. But a couple caught my eyes such as the final @ 140, costing a kid the title, with cautions and penalty points was bogus, ask DIngo he saw exactly what I saw plus on one occasion a ref gave a stalling to a kid on top who was working very well and riding his opponent out before the end of the period, as oppossed to a kid on bottom who would build a base and would collapse while keeping his forearms tucked underneath him unwilling to open up (clever for getting away wit it, and then getting a restart for the escape)(changed the complexity of the match big time since both kids were leg riders & ref didn't call it both ways. Other than that calls were pretty good, missed some pins here and there o and a couple refs missed some very easy takedown calls (saying they were out of bounds) in the finals that brought boo's from every side of the fieldhouse. Keep up the good work stripes but I sure do hope the assistant can help at Conseco this weekend, hate to see some1 get screwed in a close match because poor judgement on the count of not seeing what truly happened
  8. Tsirtis is not unbeatable, That is garbage, like I said last week, Mullins size will be a HUGE problem for Tsirtis, I love both kids, I just have a bad feeling about this and my opinion is Mullins can and will win this match because he is just as sound technically, Tsirtis is stronger, Mulins lost only 4 times last year, once at State to Hawkins and got 5th, and has avenged his 2 freshman year losses to Kieffer of Roncalli. hasn't gave up a single takedown this year, and is actually wrestling a weight class where he is comfortable, If you watched Mullins last year he lost his stride a lil bit b 4 state, but this year he is coming to State on a roll!!!!!, best of luck to all
  9. NCC qualifiers: New Castle (4) Campbell-112 Mullins-130 (both Semi-State Champs) Fellers-140 (runner-up) Catron-119 (3rd) Richmond(1) Fox-152(4th) Hunt. North- (2) Randle-112 (champ) Cooper-285(4th) Logansport(1) Clark-285(4th) Kokomo(1) Green-215 (champ) Marion(1) Scott-189 (Champ) Friday Night----Randle might get beat, has tough match, Campbell, Mullins, Green, Scott should cruise. Catron in a close 1, fellers in a close 1, Fox has NO chance, and Clark /Cooper have slim chances THERE IS 10 QUALIFIERS
  10. 103: Phillips over Petrov 112: Campbell over Ayersman 119: Kieffer over Nelson* 125: Wright over Napules 130: Mullins over Jackson 135: Norton over Berryman 140: Porras over Fellers 145: Welch over Roach 152:Welch over Stahl 160: Willis over McMurray 171: Duckworth over Stein 189: Atwood over MJJones 215: Cleveland over Wooding HWT: Janney over Travis A lot of wrestling this weekend, we'll see whose the darkhorse and makes it to the finals 7-NC 2- FW 3-MER 2-EV It's gonna be another great one. Brooks v. Phillips Tsirtis v. Mullins Cleveland v. Green Bratcher v. Duckworth Vlahos/Reese v. Willis McMuray v. McCray Welch v. Bennett are some possible gr8 matchups and even some more.
  11. I'm gonna be a realist and not a homer but we have a LEGIT chance at champs at 103 Phllips 112 Campbell 119 Nelson 125 Wright 130 Mullins 135 Berryman 152 Bennett (but will have to turn it up) 160 WIllis 171 Duckworth 189 Johnson-Jones . So if we can get 5 of 10 that will be great and 7 of 10 in finals, don't tell me we were down, yes we did lack depth at some wights like HWT, 215 (weakest by far, just atrocious, worst than heavy, good luck to Buchanan he might be the only one who may place)
  12. Yes too bad its in the semi's :-( but nonetheless the top 4 will be a treat at 130
  13. It was almost unfair, no one had a chance, it was like Mullins was a 3x time returning state champ, but at the SAME token it was probably the weakest semi state at 130 but he took care of business like he should of.....
  14. Connor Mulins New Castle 130 pinned everyone in sight at New Caste SS and didn't allow a single point, it's gonna be a great match with Tsirtis :-)
  15. Great guy. Get well coach. ( by the way Coach O'Neil of the Shamrocks, i get a kick out of that everytime, lol
  16. The ones I know are RAZZLES on Rd. 3 North of the Fieldhouse next to KFC I believe , 765) 521-2100‎ Scooter's Bar & Grill - www.scootersindiana.com 1718 I Avenue, pretty close by (765) 529-9711 Town Tavern‎ -1214 Broad Street (38E) - (765) 521-3100‎ Hoosier Daddy's 1538 Indiana Avenue (765) 521-3660
  17. well that sounds more promising than it did on Monday.....yikes
  18. B4 everyone starts talkin about the great places to eat in Indy, which there is many & can't wait til next week, how bout some places in New Castle. I know of a great one. My Greek frineds own STACKS Pancake house & Restaurant. It's right next to Taco Bell on Rd. 3 and Trojan Lane ( you know the road that leads you to some wrestling venue thats the largest and finest in the world.....)They serve everything from omeletes, to waffles, pancakes, crepes, French Toast, steak & eggs, burgers, chix sandwiches, dinner items, manhattans, fried chicken , homemade soup, you name it etc. And there hours are 6a.m.-9p.m.??? Just one for a thought. Also I believe shaved ice will be on sale at the concourse track, I'll have to ask Coach Peck
  19. Has any wrestler fallin from anyones personal state champs picks??? I think 135: Hiestand-YT from my picks fell when he lost at team regionals, kinda bounced back last saturday, but he will make me feel a lot better if he wins this week at FW
  20. Very true, it seemed as if Philips started out pretty fast and kinda simmered down in their last match-up. Good observation
  21. NC Semi-State 103:None 112:None 119:Duncan -BG 125:None 130:Tatom-HSE 135:Shell-NV 140:Gessel-UC 145:Myers-NM 152:Fox-RI 160:Becker-NE 171:NOne 189:Morris-CAR 215:Mofield-NC 285:Wallace-SV Just some kids to watchout for
  22. 215: Mofield and Buchanan should be a good one.......just a thought( mofield beat buchanan @ CATH invite if im not mistaken ***Yes i believe Mofield will beat Tucker, maybe pin him, and not give up a 5 pointer at the end like at team regionals
  23. No excuses but Campbell missed 3-4 days of school with an illness the week of NCC. He doesn't miss practice or school PERIOD!!! So I hope that clarifies what you saw at NCC. But yes Campbell does struggle a bit with the height and length of the opponent as was the case with a tough kid like Randle(HN). But it will be a great match and maybe even a preview under the lights I 'm taking Campbell by 1, maybe OT....
  24. He had such a great year, such a terrible way to end in which he had very little control over his illness. I know others around the state and country get sick in th tournament time and sme have just enough to get the qulifyin win and injury default but this wasn't the case. . I saw him before his match, and you could tell he wasn't even close to wrestle that 1 st round match. He Avenged one of his losses and truly only had one close loss to a ranked kid, can't remeber who. Had a decent shot at State. I wish him the best of luck
  25. Nc kid is 2nd year wrestler(so.) that weighs around 165-169 and wrestled 189 alll year long and at the team regional
