  1. sounds like someones feelings are hurt
  2. At 103 he was getting dominated but was still taking shots till the end.
  3. Seriously? Merrillville is infamous for laying down on there stomache to avoid getting pinned. The first match Kral was dominating Berry the whole match but once the third period came along Maladoradadaodlole watever his name is curled in a little ball and watched as his wrestle didnt even try to buil a base to try to get up. After that first match I thought it was going to be a long meet of stalling on the ville's side but it was a good thing CP daminated with there studs and won the swing matches.
  4. Why do you think these kids and there parents want to come to CP? Especially if they have a "great coach like Maldonado" in the next town over? Maybe they know better than you.
  5. Do they have any meets for Seniors who cant crack their teams varsity line-ups? Those guys show up everyday knowing they probably wont get a shot to wrestle too many varsity match-ups and arent allowed to wrestle JV so it would be cool to see a meet that allows non varsity seniors to wrestle

    Howe

    he just won midlands
  7. Its going to be close, could see it 7-7 match wise but would not be suprised if it is descided by someone avoiding getting put on there back for 6.
  8. They FF at 119 Thursday when they faced LC and already had nobody at 112. I am not sure how scoring goes at the tourney but to FF an entire weight class would have made the tournament alot closer.
  9. Its not about getting over it, this weekend meant nothing, in February is when it matters and thats what irritates me when someone says it could be the best match in Indiana when a kid is obviously beaten down with an illness. The team had no 112 and many back-ups filling in so for him to step up and try to compete shows his commitment to the team because he really had nothin to gain by winning the carnahan where Bradley had everything to gain. They both wrestle the best they could and Bradley came on top and deserve to be #1 but dont be disrespectful and kick a man while he's down by saying he lost the best match in the state.
  10. Unless you like to watch a kid who has been sick all week and throughout the day not have the stamina to wrestle two matches and finish off an overtime match against a good wrestler then this was not one of the best matches in the state
  11. I know when I wrestled my coach didnt have required lifts during season but focused alot more on conditioning. we would have morning sprints twice a week and everything was to increase stamina. Now in the offseason we had morning lifts twice a week. Bu tme being a heavyweight, and on the football team managed to get my lifts in everyday.
  12. Whose all in there sectionals now? I didnt got to any last year but the previous year i know Merrillville and partage were in the same sectionals nad tope two advance?
  13. I will go, drag you out on the mat, and pin you in front of everyone
  14. portage and merrillville are in the same sectionals, and if they place 1-2 the regionals would probable consist of Crown Point, Portage, and Merrillville which would be 3 top ten teams in one regional.
  15. if you dont take the previous week into consideration, then if a team were to be 0-10 then beat a team like Mish or CP or Evan MD, wouldn't they jump to the top of the rankings?
  16. I wrestled him 2 years ago and i remeber being much a few inches taller and i am 6'2 so unless he shot up 5 or 6 inches in 2 years i doubt it.
  17. protien shakes, protein shakes, protein shakes, and in between eat lots of pb and j
  18. As a practice partner, have your varsity heavywieght work on bottom against him. If he can get up and defend against a 370 pounder on top of him, he should have no problems with 285 pounder. As for the weight problem, if he is weighing 370 then he probably doesnt get much excercise so the weight will come off realatively fast without altering his diet just from goin to no excercise to 2 hours of intense wrestling practice will make him drop alot of wieght. Just goin to practice, working hard, and maybe cutting out something simple like late night snacks or soda will probably get him down to a weight where he could cut to make 285. I think he could wrestle at weight by the end of the year because big people cut weight alot faster, they sweat more and burn more calories just by walking around. So even if he can get to around 315 or 320 he could easily cut down to 285 in a few days.
  19. I think it is at the discretion of the official. Most of the time you can tell whether a kid is trying to put thier opponent on their shoulders for the pin or ust trying to cut off their breathing. It is legal if they have an arm but ust like every other move a referee can stop any move that is potentionally dangerous.
  20. If CP is the only team not shaking hands after matches they must be doing something right, I mean every other team is shaking hands but Crown Point is the State Champs, maybe other teams need to learn from them
  21. CP will be losing seniors at 119, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, and 285. thats half the team and every wrestler from 152 up. Next year the lightwieghts will definately be carrying the team.
  22. 145 just because he has the best draw he could have recieved doesnt mean he has a good shot, i wouldnt put my money on him. as for 215 he has the ability to win the second round but i dont see him getting past the first. you dont say a kid has a good draw based on the second round
