  1. This year you produced NO state qualifiers, only a PARTICIPANT..
  2. If the IHSAA were truly worried about a fire hazard, they wouldn't host the semi-state at Merrillville High School. There's people sitting in the aisles and West Lafayette High School coaches throwing elderly ladies folding chairs down in an attempt to save seats... Plus, who cares if the lights are off or not. The NCAA finals keeps the lights on and that wrestling is still pretty good. It's not going to take away from the energy when you have 14 titles on the line.
  3. Hughes TF Borta 16-0 at ISWA Folkstyle State in March in about 3 minutes. So this result from Vinny doesn't surprise me.
  4. Nowhere do I mention a Bailey/Hildebrandt or Egli/Hildebrandt match. The argument was that Cummings has the last win over Bailey and Hildebrandt has the last win over Konrath, so I find it interesting that everyone is writing these two off on this side of the bracket completely, given those results.
  5. Here's a couple results from the last time these guys have wrestled in youth tournaments ISWA State 2013 Quarterfinal: Colton Cummings (Region Wrestling Academy) over Breyden Bailey (Columbus East Wrestling Club) (Dec 5-3) 1st Place Match: Drew Hildebrandt (Penn Wrestling Club) over Paul Konrath (PAWS Elite Wrestling Club) (SV-1 6-4) Cummings and Hildebrant have split this season, with Cummings winning at Al Smith and Hildebrandt winning at Semi-State, both close matches decided in the final seconds. Konrath and Bailey may not be the locks some people think they are.
  6. This logic is so flawed. Decbell, by your logic, Wrestler C in the below example would be the 1 seed. Wrestler A: 15-15 loss to Wrestler C Wrestler B: 31-0 has not wrestled A or C or anyone who beat A or C Wrestler C: 1-30 win over Wrestler A
  7. It didn't look too predictable when Sopko was on his back counting the lights earlier this year and you were in the corner yelling "keep fighting, get off your back, break the lock" right before the ref called the fall.
  8. Is there an extensive list of wrestlers out there that do enjoy giving up points?! Major Blackout and Sargeant Ding Dong (see what I did there with Bell) need a new PR guy.. Maybe they could hire MCKAJC to promote them? I'm sure the Micic's could send you a copy of their monthly invoice.
  9. From the weekly rankings google hangout... "He's pretty solid." Take a shot every time you hear that and you won't make it to work the next day.
  10. Haha fantastic excuse and sarcastic follow up. A+ for both of you
  11. Looking over the Al Smith brackets.. 1) There should be no byes on these brackets in a 32 team tournament. These should all be forfeits which are scored differently than byes and do matter. 2) At 113, #2 seed Huff from Goshen has 2 forfeits all the way to the quarters just by weighing in and Lowell has two entries at 113. 3) At 120, 2 forfeits are paired up in the first round in bout 14. 4) At 220, 2 forfeits are paired up in the first round in bout 3. 5) At 285, Prairie Heights and Peru both have entrants named Tristan Bragg
  12. Nice.. We have grown men giving kids nicknames now. So that's cool :
  13. For a guy whose every other post is about Micic, this seems like trolling to me. Either he is or he isn't wrestling, and I'm confident either way that MCKAJC is aware of the family's plans. Stevan, even if he wrestles in Indiana, is no lock for a state title. Some forget that he almost lost to Davis from Penn in the finals last year, and this year we add a returning state champion Deondre Wilson, and a nationally ranked Nick Lee to the mix.
  14. First off, congrats to Wes! I would be hesitant, however, in making such a large decision on my love for Coach Goodale. He is entering his 7th season as Head Coach at Rutgers and has yet to produce a single All-American in that time. He was a heck of a high school coach at Jackson Memorial and is a heck of a nice guy, but has yet to cut it at the Division 1 level. His lack of success is not for a lack of talent, as he recruited the likes of Scott Winston, Mario Mason, and Trevor Melde, who were all part of a recruiting class ranked 3rd in the nation by W.I.N. magazine and 4th by Intermat coming out of high school. In a wrestling-crazed state like New Jersey, these results are unacceptable, and I'm not sure he has much longer to right the ship.
  15. Come wrestle for the worst team in the Region... Come be anonymous at a football, baseball, and basketball-crazed school... Come to Andrean...
  16. I see their careers as very similar, given that Dake had no redshirt year and was an 18 year old kid when he won his first title. Dake 1st year out of high school- 2 losses and NCAA title Sanderson 1st year out of high school- 1 loss and no NCAA title Advantage- Dake Dake 2nd year out of high school- 2 losses and NCAA title Sanderson 2nd year out of high school- 0 losses and NCAA title Advantage- Sanderson Dake 3rd year out of high school- 0 losses and NCAA title Sanderson 3rd year out of high school- 0 losses and NCAA title Even Dake 4th year out of high school- 0 losses and NCAA title Sanderson 4th year out of high school- 0 losses and NCAA title Even No question that Dake would do exactly what Sanderson did to the competition given a 5th year of eligibility, but its not certain that Sanderson would have won an NCAA title as a true freshman, given his loss during that season. Adding the fact that Dake won at 4 different weights, I think Dake is the greatest of all time. Sanderson a close 2nd.
  17. Can I get a quote on a set of spurs for my new cowboy boots?
  18. It would take the Goldman family to stop sending money to the IU Athletic Department..
  19. No unseeded All-Americans? There's usually around 5+ a year.
