  1. ...and SSBeatReporter continues to share is vast knowledge of the Fort Wayne area wrestling....(or lack there of) which ever it may be.
  2. You are joking right? What does beating the 3rd ranked kid in Michigan have to do with anything?
  3. Here we go: 103 - Batt (SA), Roe (AC), Adams (BE), ?? flip-a-coin 112 - Tucker (NO), Hirschy (AC), Gerber (BL), Melcher (BE) 119 - Kenny (JC), Faurote (BE), Perry (BL), Schultz (AC) 125 - Sheets (BE), Fiechter (SW), Striker (SA), Thieme (AC) 130 - Fiechter (SW), Ehr (SA), Hormann (BE), Culy (JC) 135 - Gerber (BL), Holsten (BK), Morris (SW), Pfiefer (JC) 140 - Kaehr (AC), Burnfield (SA), Theurer (JC), Sprow (NO) 145 - Hankenson (BE), Sprunger (SA), Jones (SW), Landis (NO) 152 - Baker (BE), Finnerty (JC), Stevens (AC), Grogg (SW) 160 - Busse (BE), Fiechter (BL), Daniels (JC), Fuller (BK) 171 - Melcher (BE), Schultz (AC), Bradburn (UC), Morrissey (BL) .....Only b/c Schultz shoulder????? 189 - Thatcher (BE), White (JC), Mock (BL), Felton (BK) 215 - Baker (BE), Werst (SA), Feasel (AC), James (JC) 285 - West (SA), Meyer (BE), Justice (BK), Blowers (JC)
  4. Looking at the schedule, I don't think Ytown wreslted any ranked team...a couple of honorable mentions and Holt, MI (I will give them that one). Mishawaka wresltes the top team in the state, not Ytown. I am not saying the are not good, I am saying they do not wrestle the top teams...
  5. I did not know that a freshman is not supposed to look good...I guess we better tell several of the freshmen from around the state to back-off, after all they are only freshman...
  6. That thread had me puzzled for a while....it was crazy!!!
  7. Janney is good but he is not in the same league as Chalfant. Even if Chalfant wins by 4 or 5 points people will say Janney hung with him...A wreslting can dominate a 3-1 match. If Janney improved 10 fold over last year and Chalfant done nothing to get better, Chalfant would still win. Ytown has wrestled a lot tougher schedule...I hate to say it but Ytown does not wrestle a tough schedule, I do not know Winchester schedule but I would agree that Ytown's schedule is toughter but not sure about A LOT???? (but maybe so).
  8. Ok, who is Faurote? I have never heard that name before. I knew the Farote kid they were talking about and he isn't bad. Is Faurote French? FAUROTE' Where did he move in from?
  9. 12ozcurl - let Martin do his speaking on the mat and let this go, you have to "earn your love" with Y2... I have to agree with Y2 who has he beat this year? I am not saying Harper has earned it either, but it looks like 140 is a weak weight class outside the top 3. If I was ranking this class I would stop after 3 wrestlers because the remaining would be a coin toss...unless someone steps it up when the right time comes. Just my opinion.
  10. Steven Sandefer.....something I heard labeled as the "small package"....pretty sweet.
  11. I am betting Y2's ranch on Runyon......
  12. LOL - just wished I knew how to do that....
  13. What is going on? I don't get it.
  14. Ban me, why????? I just sat back down and started reading this thread...I am really confused now.
  15. Inside includes: Meet the Braves w/ Bios, Bellmont Coaching Staff & Bios, Team Oponent information and historical records vs. Bellmont, previous year records & overview, previous year individual state placers, 10 year Review (highlights the 1999, 1989, 1979 & 1969 teams with team pics, roster & season record of team), Where Are They Now section highlighting Brian Anderson (Wabash College), Brandon Razo (Bluffton High School) & Jason Hayes (Plainfield North High School, previously at Portage) and other sections high-lighting Bellmont records, state qualifiers, placers and champions, along with Middle School review & Elementary reviews. Among other stuff.
  16. I would post a picture of the front cover but I do not know how to do that. Can someone tell me?
  17. I am sure you can pick one up at the NHC conference this Saturday.
  18. It is definately a roller-coaster of emotions. I really enjoyed my son's career and especially enjoyed his senior year. That last match of his career in the individual tournament (fortunately it was at Conseco, unfortunately it was Friday night)and then the last match of his career at team state were two emotional matches. It is not easy to comfort an 18 year old when everything he worked so hard for comes to an end. I still remeber his emotional words after his last match, "I can't believe it's over Dad." It is definately the best sport to build character for young men. Enjoy these times they come and go way too fast.
  19. 1987 - Jay Coutny 98 lb STATE CHAMP - Jeff Glogas 105lb STATE CHAMP - David Ferguson
