I think he was 19 or 20. I heard rumors of what it was but i do not want to spread anything that could be false for the respect and privacy of Jon and his family.

ooooooooo. Sean's bro gettin defensive lol. j/k. well we will probably see estrada vs mcmurray at SS. unless on doesnt make it to finals or however things could play out but i tihnk they will meet at SS.

Acuna vs. Tsirtsis would be nice to see. but compared to tsirtsis' previous victories hes got a lot in his tank. i take Tsirtsis on that one. Be a big bump for mcmurry to go up to 160. he already is smaller as a 152 pounder. And yes it is at the Crown Point duals tournament. I believe Portage and Crown Point will be wrestling off the scales in order to qualify for a DAC meet as well. not sure on the Start time....

Any thoughts... i would love to say Portage will win but i think CP had tooooooooo much depth to pull it off. hopefully where will be some exciting matches.

Former wrestler Jon Brandon for portage passed away this week. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. Very talented wrestler. Made a great impact on the Portage roster at 189 when the Indians defeated Mater Dei! RIP JB

I think Sean has some experience with bennet and im not sure with estrada. i know mcmurray is pretty good at attacking weaknesses and from all his national experience he will stay under composure when faces with the big matches.... i give sean the edge on anyone he faces. his win in the finals over galka proved a lot.

they do have a wide variation of head gear. im sure each wrestler can find whats comfortable for them...

M'Ville SS produces state champs that dont even win semi state.. its pretty nice to see 2nd places and 3rd places at semi state to turn around and win the big show.... 135 last year McMurray lost to galka in semi state then returned the favor the next week under the lights... 145 (2006) Biddle losses to lawrence then takes 3rd in semi state and wins the show the next week. in 2006 McGill vs. Walters was a constant battle all year. they were in the finals in SS and under the lights in Conseco wrestlin for the title... now these are just a few cases i am familiar with....probably more than this too.....

i guesss it depends. if its a tough loss like state finals or something "season ending" then yeh a hug might be givin. but if they lose to some pud that they have beaten before or somethin then well thats a different story

I disagree with the #18 ranking for portage. They have beaten #'s 17 Westfield (by a lot), # 19 Franklin (which i think franklin could move few spots up), and defeated #14 New Pal at north mont. still awating Carmel results.... they also lost to M'Ville by 5 and well to Mishawaka by quite a bit......
