  2. Wow, the entire line up? Wrincawich? Is he a transfer from Russia?
  3. Jasper won it last year. That has to make them the favorites.
  4. I heard Logan Brown I-Def for personal reasons. Sry to hear that, would like to have seen Brown vs Powless.
  5. There will not be 40 duals on TV. If you look closer, most of the duals say "bigtennetwork.com" after them. This means they will be streamed online. You also will need a username and password to watch these duals. There will only be a handful (5-6) actually on TV. Wrestling still gets no love.
  6. I heard they were playing basketball ! ;D
  7. I saw this in SI, thought Id post it. Excellent example of overcoming lifes many obstacles. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1167418/index.htm The last comments from his HS coach reminded me of a HS coach I had that once said.... "One time I ran into an obstacle in life. I picked it up, put it on my back, and kept running"
  8. Heard the Bosse/Tecumseh/ Wood Memorial Triple dual really packs'em in there. Just kidding.....
  9. Anyone else see all the upsets at 165? WOW
  10. I was thinking the same thing. I watched that same piece and I saw a lot of throws, climbing over a whizzer, etc. Stuff that made me cringe as a coach. I also questioned the depth of their weight classes in the Grajales could win by fall from a leg cradle for a state title?!?!?! Come on now, I know he is good ...... but ......if you are bad enough to get pinned in a leg cradle in the state finals?! Maybe Im missing something here. . . . . PS Not bashing FL wrestling, just an observation.
  11. Who are you guys kidding Phillips would dominate ;D Interesting rematch at 171 though.....anyone think it would go the other way? I thought Stein got a QUICK 2 near fall

  15. I am not knocking her bravery or effort, but that was bad. It is about the anthem, not the singer. Don't force it...let it flow. We are not here (or there) to see you. Sing the song for what it stands for, not entertainment value. I also noticed the heels. That made me cringe as well..... In regards to comments on how other SS's address the national anthem.... I don't think the flag needs to be "spotlighted". There is something omni-present and symbolic of looking through the dark at the flag. It needs to be at the highest point possible. From this, we all look up to acknowledge its reverance. PS I thought the ladies at Eville sang one helluvan anthem!
  16. tangarray is right in regards to the stall call in the finals. The official in question has had some problems with that this year. That same official also has a bad habit of watching or checking the clock when he had an assistant referee. I saw him do it alot on Saturday.
  17. I may have missed this thread. If I did, my bad. I was wanting to know if the State Finals will be broadcasted? I saw that there was an earlier post about SS broadcasts on http://www.broadcastsport.net/. Will this be active for state? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
  18. I like how someone calls there picks "LOCKS" and misses 6...... ;D
