  7. Rivals has them at #3 http://highschool.rivals.com/viewrankhs.asp?ra_key=819
  8. So does this mean that wrestling will not actually start until 9:00am? Because the book says it will start at 8:00am? Just trying to figure out start times! Thanks
  9. The extension of the Folkstyle season has already hurt the Greco and Freestyle numbers. I think wrestling in a "State" Tourney 3 weeks after high school gives a lot of guys a false ending date. I wrestled at state so I am done. I have personally been fighting to get my wrestlers more involved in the Greco and Freestyle.
  10. I just saw on a friends status on Facebook the University of Nebraska-Ohmaha just dropped their program. This comes after just winning their 3rd NCAA DII national championship. > http://news.theopenmat.com/2011/03/uno-wins-dii-nationals-and-drops-wrestling-program/ http://www.omaha.com/article/20110313/NEWS01/703139891/46
  11. I went over the survey with my Principal and I thought it was a pretty misleading survey if you just go over it quickly. Make sure that you post comments as there is no option to class the team series.
  12. I am trying to compile a list of former IU wrestlers that are currently coaching in Indiana now. I am not talking a 1 year guy but 3-5 years at IU. They can either be the Head or Assistant coach. I know some of the guys that graduated around me but would like to find out more. Thanks, Brandon Sisson Floyd Central Head Coach IU graduate 2004
  13. Floyd Central High School Cooper Samuels 7th, 2nd, 1st, 1st School Record for Wins and Takedowns as well.
  14. I love reading post but don't often post. This one on the other hand I feel pretty passionate about. I know that everyone has stereotypes and I actually encountered some of these while at IU with some teachers having a "chip" against athletes in general. But I know from my experience that the Indiana Wrestling team had some of the hardest workers on and off the mat I knew. Every semester we would have the most athletes make Alpha Beta(over 3.0) of the mens sports. We had an invididual named Ty Mathews that was a 2 or 3 time NCAA qualifier, was married, had 2 kids, cut a good amount of weight weekly, was a Biology major, and carried a 4.0 average with all of that going on in his life. I have also seen athletes on the other side of the spectrum but for the most part believe wrestlers are some of the hardest works in life.
  15. Has thee ever been 2 Indiana guys in the finals At the same time?
  16. Last year! WilliehalfNelson and his love of Bayside Wrestling, AC Slater and Mr Belding
  17. I saw on the ihsaa website that Friday's start time is listed for 6pm but is this when wrestling starts or the parade of champions?
  18. If a school is canceled today is there an extra 1 lb allowance for a tourney on Sat?
  19. I apologize I left all of Floyd's Results at school after a long day. I will have them up Monday. Corydon was a little beat up so they were trying to get through the day. Clipp seems to have a lot of good numbers out! I do however remember the St. X vs Floyd score since it was the first and probably only time I will have a chance to beat my former coach. Aka the "The Great Grandpa Dave Caple" St. X over Floyd 35-31 >
  20. That is probably one of my all time favorite matches I have ever watched. Staying in bounds the whole time with some amazing hand fighting!!!!
