So why not have three officials to a mat like freestyle. The reverse of a call looks Terrible by the assistant ref. Also, if two out of three agree then no questions asked. I believe the job of the asstiant should go no farther then violations and the clock. That's it

Y2 why can't coaches complain(bash) officials? We vote them in! U can't say that u agree with every call made this weekend. I would love to say what I think of a few, although it would just get my kid another bad call later on. We can't over voice our opinion during the match, so this board should be an outlet to discuss some officials calls. Am I wrong?

Congrats to Tom for a great career, and to Coach Mike Bottomley for being honored as Indiana Wrestling Coach of the Year. It has been an honor working with both of these great guys. In the last 4 years Connersville has had 4 state qualifiers, 2 placers, 2 team sectional championships, and 1 team regional championship. Also 21 regional qualifiers and 13 semi state qualifiers this year and last combined. Very proud to be a Spartan! Asst. Coach Jerry Ingalls

Good bye freestyle, u made the true wrestlers coaches and officials. RIP Maybe they should have had a 1 min dance routine instead of 30 second break for bonus points! The fans would have loved it. :'(

Start to Finish Regional Tournament Times

Richmond started at 9:30 ended at 4:30. Ran 4 mats for 3 rounds. 2 mats for finals and 3/4. 30 min lunch break. Very well ran and best overall group of officials at one tourney I have seen this year. -
Upsets do happen, but I just said it was interesting. Connersville had 6 wrestlers lose at regional to guys they had beat last year.

Awesome. Congrats to her. I know all 3 and they have put a lot of time and effort in it. Good luck to all three. Anyone know the numbers on girls at semi state?

I think anyone in attendance would say that there were 3 qualified officials and 1 greenhorn. The hittle/Gonzalez match could have been differently scored on 2 scrambles. With that said there were some calls by the more qualified that I did not always agree with either. I was an IHSAA official, and it's tough making calls at a split second. Perseption, angles, and position can make any call appear different. I thank all the officials for their time and effort. U just hope the same official is consistent with his calls ever match, then u can coach your wrestler accordingly.

That's better then a hand crafted nude statue of skinner. Or would it be the same? I can see giving trophies back to the shop u buy from to get discounts on new trophies. But what gives I'f u get a trophy from 1980 change the plate and hand it out.

Just curious what your school does with old trophies. I know of one school that re gives trophies that they won. Does any other school practice this lame I mean same thing?

Give it a rest. Not only are hittle and gonzo great wrestlers, they are friends too. Both wrestled for Fayette co club . They are the reason for each others success. I no this, both want to win and when it's over they no next week they will do it again.
