  1. I always preferred the shower hallway in the old gym by the old wrestling room....
  2. Not to mention the new RTC rules where you can only show FS/GR (which occurs a month before the Folkstyle State, and Folkstyle Nationals) So if you are planning on hosting an RTC you need to fill out a 12 page application saying you're a good enough coach (AKA Sat through and hour presentation where the answers to the test are then given to you) to allow kids to get better and also god help you if you are not showing Guts and Leg Laces.
  3. Here is the YouTube link for you mobile users ht tp://youtu.be/bxnY4lZxSq0
  4. The Mooresville Regional is always one of the premiere Regionals in the state. Realistically we could have 5 kids under the lights competing for a state title. I am taking my stab at some predictions and thoughts. (FULL DISCLOSURE I COACH AT BROWNSBURG I will probably have some homer picks...call my lawyers…) 106 - A tough weight class lead by Mason Miranda. Mason has run the gauntlet this year beating many top competitors including 3 wins over Brownsburg’s Tyler Mills. Look for Tony Mosconi of Indian Creek to push Mills to the limit in the Semi’s. My predictions: Mason Miranda - Avon Tyler Mills -Brownsburg Tony Mosconi - Indian Creek Zac Siddiqui - Center Grove 113- A bracket full of killers! This looks to be the bracket to watch this weekend. Skaggs pulled off the late second reversal to down Weaver in the Sectional Finals. Look for these 2 to have another Barn Burner if they meet in the finals. Weaver has to first get past Kaden Poe of DC who bested him in the Regional Finals last year. Some exciting First round matches to watch include Keaton Fischer of Martinsville V. Hunter Fox of Cascade and Zach Blevins of CG VS Skaggs could be interesting. My predictions: Nick Weaver - Brownsburg Jacob Skaggs - Avon Kaden Poe - Decatur Central Hunter Fox - Cacade 120- Another fun class to watch. Hudkins should win pretty handedly but the undefeated Gomez could give him a run for his money. Mulkey and Pritchett 3 should be exciting. I pick the freshman to pull this one out but he first must get past Tyler Futrell of Greenwood in the opening round. My predictions: Brock Hudkins - Danville Isaac Gomez - Plainfield Blake Mulkey - Brownsburg James Pritchett - Ben Davis 126-This weight seems like a lock for 1st and 2nd. I don’t see anyone Challenging Molloy or Boles. Molloy is the favorite but needs to wrestle 100% or he could leave with a Red Ribbon instead of a Blue. A rematch of the Sectional Quarterfinal for 3rd will see Connor Allen getting some revenge on senior Caleb Loman of Avon. Both have tough first round challenges however with Allen having to face Franklins Trevor Reese and Loman getting Jeremy Vaught of Martinsville. My predictions: Elliott Molloy - Danville Brody Boles - Mooresville Connor Allen - Brownsburg Caleb Loman - Avon 132 - 132 is a race for second. Lee will win but will need to look for bonus points to help the Bulldogs in the team race. Anderson should make the finals with the match to watch here being between Gast-Bray and Roth for third. My predictions: Brayton Lee - Brownsburg Mitch Anderson - Mooresville Rowan Gast-Bray - Monrovia Jaylen Roth - Ben Davis 138- A topsy-turvy weight class where any of the top 4 can win. Harris is 1-1 Against Weddle, Weddle is 1-1 with Canto, and Canto has lost 2 to Quinn but both were very close matches. Wilkerson is the favorite but he will have to bring it all to win this weight class. My predictions: Shane Wilkerson - Franklin Nick Weddle - Ben Davis Quinn Harris - Avon Saevon Canto - Brownsburg 145- Looks to see Warren of Mooresville go against Senior Keaton Fainter of Avon. Fainter has some tough losses this year but dont be surprised to see him show up and leave with the gold. He will have a decent first round challenge with Trevor Ellis of Monrovia. My predictions: Christian Warren - Mooresville Keaton Fainter - Avon Troy Owen - Brownsburg Logan Coyle - Center Grove 152 - 4 Solid Wrestlers here. Dunn is the favorite but watch out for Whitaker who is could show up to go. Burk VanHorn should finish third unless he gets funked by Brownsburg’s Senior Brandon Gay. My predictions: Elijah Dunn - Indian Creek Cayden Whitaker - Martinsville Burk VanHorn - Franklin Marcus Miranda - Avon 160- Helm and Caudle will battle for the championship. Junior Bulldog Arkee Glover will battle Center Grove’s Jonah Hays in the opening round. My predictions: Brandon Helm - Avon Kody Caudle - Danville Ethan Runyan - Martinsville Arkee Glover - Brownsburg 170- Another slobberknocker of a bracket. Lydy and Stevenson will do go at it in a Loser Leaves Town, err well a Loser Gets a Slightly Worst Draw in Evansville Match. Freshman Nathan Walton Could be full of surprises having a close match with Lydy this past week. Can he knock off the returning State Champ??? Look for Camryn Smith of Monrovia and Anthony Pedroza of Avon to keep you busy in the opening round. My predictions: Dylan Lydy - Ben Davis Jacob Stevenson - Franklin Nathan Walton - Brownsburg Camryn Smith - Monrovia 182-This will be another Avon Sectional Duel to the Death as Kyle Shaffer and Evan Elmore battle to wrestle a 4th place finisher at the Ford Colleseium. Munns tougher schedule gives him the edge for third. Brownsburgs Seth Bronger may put up a fight though as he and Munn will meet in the early rounds. My predictions: Kyle Shaffer - South Putnam Evan Elmore - Avon Damon Munn - Franklin Ryan Hammond - Whiteland 195 - Returning Placer Randy Scott should come away with the gold. Semi State Qualifier Garrison Lee will step up to challenge the beast if he can best Brownsburg’s Isaac McCormick in the semi’s. The Quaker Tristan Southwood rounds out group here with a chance to sneak out a third place finish if he is on. My predictions: Randy Scott - Mooresville Garrison Lee - Monrovia Isaac McCormick - Brownsburg Tristan Southwood - Plainfield 220- Pretty Straightforward bracket. Larson and WIlder will meet in the finals with the 2 finalists from Mooresville Sectional battling it out for third. My predictions: Gunner Larson - Avon Kasha Wilder - Ben Davis Dristin McCubbins - Montrovia Clayton Scroggs - Martinsville 285- OMG The big boys came to play just like Mike the Miz! Stormin Norman will maintain his undefeated streak but may be tested by Junior Quinn York of Franklin. Bryce Biddle and Joey Masters may do battle IF they can get past there crazy first round matches! Henson will face Biddle for the third time and Masters will have to deal with Greenwoods Gavin Fuqua My predictions: Norman Oglesby - Ben Davis Quinn York - Franklin Bryce Biddle - Plainfield Joey Masters - South Putnam The team race will be between Avon, Brownsburg, and Ben Davis or Franklin as a Distant Third. If we score it based of this masterful prediction Avon wins by 6 points even having 1 less qualifier. Looks to be a good day of wrestling! Stay safe all!
  5. Yeah Avon wrestled very well Saturday. Between swing matches and such it will usually be any where from that to 10-4 Brownsburg depending on swing matches typically I think it would on average go 8-6 Avon based on favorites. 5 of those being swing matches. Its a great rivalry and the ability of both programs is going to be a huge boost to Hendricks County.
  6. I am disappointed in my technology Failure...you all missed a wonderful picture
  7. That Jason Miranda kid is a big shock! I thought his twin, Mason, was WAYYYY better must have been a heck of a wrestle off
  8. It will be just like County too close to call until the matches are wrestled I just can't wait for Sunday so I can get these darn Orioles out of my dreams!!!!
  9. Somewhere Curtis Axel is still heading to the ring
  10. Not released yet :\ I had to run club so I was not in the seeding meeting.
  11. I haven't seen this on the board yet but I was informed Avon's Quinn Harris has committed to Lake Erie College in Ohio. My biggest goal as a coach is to get kids to get to the next level not in wrestling but in life and college is a major part of that. Even though we are rivals I have nothing but respect for Quinn and Avon and the many beatings he has dished out to us. I wish him nothing but the best in the next step of his career! With this decision out of the way go out and just give it your all Quinn and good luck! - Your fellow GLIAC member Wiesjahn
  12. Should be a good race. Avon is scary here. They have a lot of opportunity to score points where they didn't at conference. Another good Avon/Brownsburg Race with Ben Davis maybe being able to sneak in if they are on. I will tell you what I will sleep better once this is over good luck to everyone and lets show how this area is one of the toughest in the state!
  13. That sick criteria has really affected a lot of people this year...I really think the IHSAA needs to reconsider its ranking on the criteria list
  14. For his sake he needs to get out of Indiana. Ersland is doing a great job but its not up to the level that will attract a CJ Red. Especially when you have Cael and Burroughs knocking on your door. (Even though I have more ISWA Univserity State Championships than both of them combined.....WHY DIDNT YOU SHOW UP COWARDS!!!!!!!!!! ) PS if either Jordan or Cael read this please don't hurt me I'm tiny and like video games and Pro wrestling not sure it would look good for you publicly.
  15. A big thanks to everyone who came and got better today! Tournament went well everyone was cooperative and friendly and it helped us make the event go smooth! 16. START HIM AS SOON AS YOU CAN! AND ANYTHING LESS THAN VICTORY IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is something a terrible father/mother would say
  17. Yeah I trust our TD he is one of the best I have seen. That being said still plenty of time to sign up and come get some awesome wrestling in. Certified officials for Intermediate and up and awesome trophies! Plus you get to hang out with me!!!!!!
  18. I dunno I just know us Steelers fans have 6 (six) VI Superbowl Victories
  19. Even getting someone on the MS football staff can help increase numbers.
