  1. A 60-Man Triple Ring Battle Royal...here is some archive footage of the 95 Award
  2. Its almost HAMMER TIME! Brownsburg RWO Thursday at 6pm! Enter Door 8!
  3. I agree if the goal is to increase numbers Folkstyle needs to be removed from USA Wrestling. The downside to that is that the ISWA would lose the revenue from folkstyle state ($70,000ish before paying officials, the use of the location, etc). That's a big hit (about $30,000 more than they make in FS/GR combined). That would make Freestyle/Greco the sole styles in the off-season for any instate stuff through the ISWA (Much like 10-15 years ago). At that point people will have to attend to wrestle which is where you get the middle of the road kids as the big names will probably just continue to hit major national events. Build your base and go from there. But it would be a monstrous risk because if it doesn't pan out that's a lot of money missing.
  4. It will be interesting to see how he does at University Nationals.
  5. Joe I think your a good looking fella don't be so hard on yourself
  6. The fliers all say any junior or cadet are allowed to wrestle
  7. What if an Indiana Cadet or Junior Wrestler competes in a Regional and takes top 3 would that qualify him for Fargo?
  8. Almost as bomb as the sexy coaching staff
  9. 13% of the state qualifiers come from 34% of the state population
  10. Well since we base the team Champion off the individual tournament seems the only fair thing to do is class it.
  11. Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa apparently all don't get it either....good thing we smoke them in any sort of national event.....or college success rate query I find it ironic that we are pulling teeth to increase numbers in Freestyle/Greco State to improve our national scene but discuss something similar in HS and everyone loses there mind
  12. IT IS TIME TO BRING THE PAIN CHOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DO YOU HEAR IT THE #PAINTRAIN COMING THROUGH 4:30 SHARP!!!
  13. Does that count as a qualifier for freestyle state if you do Greco?
  14. Is there any way we could make the freestyle season more than 5 weeks?
  15. Tskin That's exactly like the sectional except you actually have to accomplish something to move on Place top 4 we arnt trying to get a bigger number smaller we are trying tomake the smaller number bigger.
  16. It isn't not wanting to wrestle it is the competition level doesn't get to a point that its worth it until FS/GR State. For example Nick Lee is a returning Pan American Champion. Is it worth his time to go to the local tournaments? Realistically the answer is no. His goal is to be an Olympic Champion he has made that clear so he will end up doing the 2 qualifiers but only because he is being forced to. He would be better off spending that time and money required to do that to go train at one of the OTC's. But in order to wrestle the biggest FS/GR tourney in the country he has to show up and wrestle 1-3 matches and waste a weekend he could have gotten better. This Indiana's biggest studs will do the 2 qualifiers they will make it happen. Just because that is the only way to go to Duals or Fargo (Not sure if Jr's have too since its a committee selection) But your telling the middle of the road guys hey come wrestle the same guys 2 weeks in a row when they could be out at Camps or national tournaments that offer better looks and partners. People here know my thoughts on FS/GR but I am not stupid. For our studs who make it clear what they want to accomplish I'm running fs/gr workouts to prepare them. That number isn't huge but I am not going to force my kids to do something when there are arguable better training opportunities out there. Just my 2 cents.
  17. Already on his (or her im no dr.) back...not a good sign
