  1. if they have lat years sectionals youll want that as you know who broadcasts lol
  2. maybe the number one seeds should have just worked harder....and warmed up..they must not have wanted to be a TRUE state champion only TRUE Sectional, regional and semi state champions can advance so we have just the state Semifinals to watch i solved it thank me later
  3. My arguement is more of a college coaching/recruiting standpoint, i should probably have also mentioned my stance is that of little vitos i just think the implication of such a change would be way to confusing for the dufus' running the IHSAA. I just want to see more Indiana Wrestlers get a chance to get paid for a great college experience somewhere big. Class wrestling may or may not be a solution to this we will never know until we try.
  4. look at the top 5 and compare those scores to ours too big of a gap just because u have more teams under us doesnt mean we are better i could have told you we had a better program than colorado my point is that the higher ranked states all find a way to make classes work and its helping there wrestlers succeed and get great opportunities after high school, to wrestle at a top college. Throw that with all of Y2's Data you stubborn classless supporters can really say all they want is one champion cause its a True champion, (when in fact, it is not)
  5. Personally, Class Wrestling needs to happen, you say that it does not matter if u are a 2a or 1a champ, lets say we have 2 classes, you argue we cannot find a true champion and that hinders our wrestling, but lets look at the most sought after recruits from last year and where they are from? States Represented in Intermats Top 100 High School Recruits (Compiled 2007 http://intermatwrestle.com/high_school/ranking/top100_commit.aspx) 1 OH 11 2 PA 9 3 NJ 8 4 IA 7 4 KS 7 5 CA 6 5 MN 6 6 WA 5 6 IL 5 7 OR 4 7 MI 4 8 UT 3 8 NY 3 9 DE 2 9 CO 2 9 IN 2 9 MO 2 9 WV 2 9 WI 2 9 FL 2 10 TX 1 10 MD 1 10 NC 1 10 ND 1 10 SD 1 10 AL 1 10 WY 1 10 VA 1 Out of the 28 states represented Indiana had 2 kids make the top 100 (Andrew Howe and Brennan Cosgrove), which puts us at 9th, while Ohio had over 5x that amount, class wrestling must really suck, im sure the kids over there that are div 2 state champs but still manage to go to a Big Ten Powerhouse are heart broken they were not true state champions. Indiana needs to realize WE SUCK AS A WHOLE, and by suck i mean we are not at the level of OHIO, ILLINOIS, PA, NJ....and guess what they are all classed. By doubling the State Qualifiers and allowing smaller schools a chance to earn a championship and garner national credibility which can help send them to an Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, etc... we allow our state to become more recognized and get more attention and allow even more kids for better opportunities after high school I as a former wrestler want our current generation to get attention of the college coaches, and not the trines and Manchester but the D1 powerhouses sure we have had our howes escabedos and tsirtis' for each one of those we had, ohio, pa, il all had 3-5x that amount just thought i would throw this little argument out there, i am passionate for IN to succeed in this sport, more so am i tired of hearing these ohio people say how bad we are and being an Indiana state champ is comparable to being a qualifier in Ohio or maybe placing...
  6. mishawaka takes the most champs in pool a penn in pool b
  7. so its known d4 is the lowest divison i believe in michigan
  8. weather its ethical or not, its not against the rules, nor should it be anybodies business of the age a kid is enrolled in school should it be? people here love to stir up controversy by diving in to each persons business, and yes if i think it would help my son when i am older i would do it, SUE ME!
  9. shut down right from the start ehh
  10. was EMD 2nd last year? yes. have they been beaten by any1 this year? No. there is your answer
  11. *bows* i apologize master i have shamed you
  12. your point, Y2, is very valid and i'm not saying its wrong, I am advocating for those kids who are just kind of thrown in like at 103 and heavyweight (Another topic for me entirely) but while they may have only been able to pull out a 5th place finish in sectionals they can still have the chance to wrestle for a regional title. The system we have now is fine (but could definitely use some tweaks here and there) A classed dual tournament system to me is the ultimate solution to this ongoing dilemma, but that is my own personal belief
  13. to say its meaning less is way just wrong...is the al smith meaningless? calumet? EMD holiday classic? perhaps we shouldn't compete unless its the state series, calling this a dumb dual to me is ridiculous, are you saying you wouldn't want more mat time, you would rather practice! I know that for me competing in the Semi State or Regional is exciting and fun, when i ran Cross country, we were not the best, i was no where near the best but i was still able to run in the Semi State race at New Prairie which if you are a runner, you know is one of the best atmospheres in the world. We lost and did not advance as expected and i finished close to last, but ill tell you i was so glad I got to compete. Not everyone can be a Regional Qualifier so for some kids its an honor to represent there school even at this low of a level and to deny them a true fee lingof pride is a crime....
  14. this whole embracing technology thing has nothing to do with snyder who does do the stats, albeit if he has previous years ill be amazed HA, the broadcasting is all done by broadcast.net and sponsered by our club , at least thats how i think it goes, but i have been known to be wrong
  15. Guys believe me i wish it was different we are not as deep as the region.......yet, let some other programs continue to build and in 3-4 years we may be just as strong
  16. i would have much rather been a t-bird, i did grease lighting in 4th grade for talent show, i sang it, lets just say i could get on american idol, the episode where they show the worst ever.
  17. well u ARE SWEET can i have your autograph....
  18. Owen Wilson said it best rule 27 no excuses, play like a champion...
  19. u also have to include michigan guys, if it is MICHIANA not that that boosts the argument region would dominate
  20. me and caleb norville had a ton our jr and sr years may have even broke 200 but i cant get the exact figures i know we duked it out for most tds on the team i had like 43 at the NIC Superdual alone
  21. that was a question i dunno if ihad to say now this years team is not as good as lasts years but i wont make a real judgement till the end of the year, and i have been real busy with school and wrestling over here in the O-Hi-O
