  1. It might make sense to have a concept of free and premium service. Without sponsors I understand that you need to rely on the community. Quite frankly I'd ask for a minimum donation ($5-10?) for premium service. Also if you made a profit, IMO good for you it's the American way.
  2. You know your statement is quite idiotic. Mom and dad should not have to apologize for being able to send their kids to an event that their kids want to go to and were asked to attend. How about you work harder and earn more money to "achieve success not just "wanting" to be good"
  3. Greco and Freestyle state has about 1500 participants. Raise the entry fee by $10 and use the $15000 to reduce costs for the Fargo trip. Also charge an additional $2 more/participant for every GR/FS ISWA tournament to collect even more for say the SB duals. I don't think $2-10 is going to stop anyone from participating knowing it will go towards a good cause. Besides much more is spent on spectator fees for family, food, candy, gas, hotel, etc. Just my 2 cents. Also keep pushing to have ISWA clubs focus on Greco/Freestyle more.
  4. Cooper and Tsirtsis in the finals. Former Little Celtics (LCWC) teammates. Should be interesting since they know each other well.
  5. You may want to give the IN team lead a call (check Fargo/Camp letter). I'm sure he can help you out. There must be a good number of Indy kids making the trip.
  6. I would like to see the ISWA move Greco state 2 weeks after Freestyle state. That way the kids have at least 2 weeks to focus exclusively on the Greco style. Just my 2 cents. I think IL does this now.
  7. Didn't they used to take body fat measurements at state (80's)? Why not compare numbers between the start of season and the end.
  8. Perhaps we can ask Congress to earmark $1 billion to promote wraslin in the region. Just kidding! I think they're around but perhaps just didn't take the trip this year.
  9. Let's just conclude this: If you don't shake the other coach's hand, it is not bad sportmanship. However, if you do shake their hand, it is good sportmanship. When I coach my kid, he must shake the other coach's hand.
  10. Talk about riding in style... Sean would be sure to have the ladies following.
  11. I think that the M'Ville semi-state is helped from its proximity to Chicago, IL. Many NWI kids have or do benefit from the competition and resources in IL as well as the excellent resources in NWI.
  12. Well said, all valid points. What's the rush anyway.
  13. A wahoo for your honesty and state championship!
  14. My kid Aurelio Medina Jr. placed 8th at state after taking 4th at Calumet. This is the first time posting about my kid but now that the season is over I can say "Son, I'm very proud of you!"
  15. Should it be... "Where's my dinner woman" > Only when I come home and I'm REALLY hungry. Otherwise it's more confusion.
  16. LAWL - "Laughing A Whole Lot " Noob - "A newbie?" Had to resort to my Urban Dictionary to interpret your message.
  17. Don't forget to use manly faces: "Don't mess with me" > and "I'm so cool" 8) and "Where's my dinner woman" ???
  18. Like Y2, computer programmer by day and hacker by night.
  19. State Champion? That made me LOL. Wahoo for you!
  20. 1. keep 4 out of regionals 2. wrestle backs after the 1st SS round Makes sense, no?
  21. 741 is fairly small; not my preference but i'd be open to 2 classes. However, 3 classes and IMO it would become a bad idea. I didn't realize that IN was at the extreme compared to other states.
  22. If we had 2 classes where would you draw the line. If already discussed, sorry but 45 pages is too much to read thru.
  23. If I very high percentage of state qualifers come from the same 50-100 schools year after year I'd reconsider because that means 200-250 schools are being left out of the picture every year. However, I don't have these types of numbes.
  24. I'm assuming that the sectional, regional, semi-state and state tourneys would push more kids through which would improve the chances of advancing small school kids. Seems like its worth a shot and if it doesn't work then maybe at most 2 classes can be tried.
  25. For team state I think class wrestling makes sense (2-3). But for individual state, wouldn't it be better to do like NJ and qualify 24 or even 32?
