  1. Does anyone know what day(s) the Al Smith tourney will be held on assuming it's been officially scheduled? Thanks.
  2. Correction: I don't believe D. Rodriguez pinned L. Stoneburner at the Traicoff (119). It was another kid; at least that's what I remember him telling me.
  3. It's in my comments not the article. I'm AM's dad and don't want people misreading the Post's article who seemed interested in focusing on weight loss without asking the right questions. He lost the weight over 10+ weeks properly and actually only a few lbs from 112 at start of season. If the question on the 171 forfeit was meant for Munster -vs- Delphi, our 171 lber hurt his shoulder in the previous match and did not finish his bout. I assume Munster forfeited cause even if we had a backup (JV), they aren't going to throw him to face Lynde.
  4. Karl, did you miss the part about being 122 in August? The Post didn't ask when he weighed that much or how long it took to lose it.
  5. The article did not mention that Aurelio weighed 122 in August with no practice and no diet nor that he lost the 10 lbs over 10+ weeks while practicing at RWA in Sept/Oct and at MHS in Nov and with a diet put in place by his uncle who is a dietician. That's what he meant was his "walking around" weight.
  6. Can someone inform me what the practice schedule for March is? Thanks in advance.
  7. FYI, Ruiz did wrestle up against Boston and he gave it his best. Aurelio started having stomach pains during his Cathedral match and did not wrestle again (3-0). That being said, Boston looked impressive and in my opinion will be a state contender.
  8. Good grades is a given whether you're an athlete or not. Thanks for info.
  9. Jared in my opinion, for what it's worth, you are the young man to beat at 103. Unless it's Ivan (Munster) I hope to see you at the top of the podium in February and I mean that sincerely. My son thinks very highly of you as well. Mr. Medina
  10. I'm curious do college scouts prefer seniors competing at 119 and above since 125 is the lowest weight class. Or does it not matter?
  11. Goal #1 win and stay on the floor. Goal #2 lock up a few CP kids in the locker room and stay off our back. Goal #3 I haven't thought that far out yet.
  12. FYI: Ferdig from SBA beat Marciano not Ruiz. Ruiz wrestled 112 all day and did not lose.
  13. Sam Ferdig beat Santo Marciano in 2OT by criteria 3-3. Ivan Ruiz won all his matches at 112 lbs. Santo in my opinion is a top 20 wrestler at 103 and can most likely beat kids in the bottom half of the rankings.
