  1. I was doing my picking when it stopped after only 2 places at 215!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No chance to pick after that.
  2. My post about Welch possibly being overrated was taken out of contex. He probably does seserve to be rted #1, but my reply was to the person that said that none of the contenders are Welch solid. He is not a lock. I would say that the surest lock is probably Boston from LN at 103 lbs and possibly Tsirtsis at 140.
  3. I wish I had the confidence that CP is going to beat MD that Rankings Guy has. I have gone over the lineups and I don't think CP matches up too well with MD. At best I have MD winning 29 to 25. I hope I am wrong. Individual and team states haven't been the same the last 2 years without all those MD fans there. I have to give them credit, when they have a good team they sure do follow it. My only gripe is that they have so many people that I have noticed i n the past that they have influenced a ref's call. No matter who wins, it will be a great day for wrestling and welcome back to the dance MD.
  4. I haven't seen any of the 3 (Doug Welch, Mullins or Ehr) wrestle this year, but Welch might be a little overrated. I remember last year there were posts on here on what a great rider he was. When he wrestled Roach, Roach took less than 20 seconds to escape, might have been less than 10. Should be a good match no matter who makes the finals.
  5. I didn't send their updated records including the team regionals but I did show them when I posted the results of the LaPorte Regional
  6. Kayla beat Stevan 6-4 in 6th grade!!!!!!! It is a known fact that girls mature faster than boys. Now that Stevan has had 3 years to add to his maturity I would pick him to win by at least 4 points!!!!!!
  7. Appreciate getting the brackets so fast. One small detail wasn't taken into consideration though. The wins or losses for the wrestlers that have wrestled in the team regional weren't appplied to the wrestlers overall record. Thanks Y2 for the great work though.

  9. I personally like it the way it is now, but of course I'm from a bigger school. However, if they ever went to the class system it shouldn't be more then 2 classes. Indiana isn't that big. Put the 1,2 and 3 class schools in one tourney and the 4 and 5 class schools in another. I would bet that Center Grove is packed to capacity this year.

  11. I think Christ Kasten from Winamac should be on the list. Won state at 215 lbs in 2004, then beat Larimore in 2005 for the championship at Heavyweight.
  12. Karl Hungus: Have you seen Montell Davis in action? If I remember right Howe is is a little heavyweight. I think Davis is way too fast and strong for Howe. Bet you a coffee and roll at " the Hen in Crown Point on the match if it happens
  13. I sure wouldn't say that Davis beating Biancardi is an upset. I hae seen them both. I predict Davis will win semi-state.

  15. This really doesn't have anything to do with the subject, but I didn't want to start a whole new subect to give kudoos to the person that did the Laf Jeff brackets. They also added a complete roster of each weight class. The worst one that I saw is the one that I had the most interest in which is the Crown Point sectional. Heck, they didn't even line it up straight when they submitted it. Maybe it's because this is the first time that I can remember that they even sent in the brackets to the board. However I noticed that Merrillville hasn't even sent their's in yet.
  16. rjlech: I'll take Kyle but your remark don't make much sense. You say" Kyle hasn't given up a point in any match this year" the3n go on to say that he has been taken down but on to pin.. I was at a match where his opponent got the first takedown within the first 20 seconds, but then paid for it as Kyle went on to dominate although he only beat the same kid 7-0 at conference.
  17. Carl McLoud: I agree with you. Since you beat Stewart from LaPorte twice you should be ranked at the Merrillville Sem-state. I noticed you were teched by Taylor of Lawrence Central so I'm pretty sure he'll be down at Conseco.
  18. I apologize for saying that I wasn't impressed with Ehr's credentials. That is very impressive having only lost 1 match in 2 years. When you get old the boiling point is easier to reach and when someone said that there was no doubt that Ehr would beat Flamme I reached that point. there isn't anything sure in this world besides death and taxes. I wish Ehr good luck in the tourney no matter what weight class he wrestles in and he should hope that he doesn't run into one of Y2"s wrestlers in the ticket round. lol
  19. Youmust be saying Ehr got beat in the ticket round by Schendel, who had 7 losses. Schendel got beat in the first round at state so I'm not all that impressed with Ehr's credentials. Also if Ehr is going 152 I would like Schurg's chances against Mahlan.
  20. Y2: You say that Ehr only lost once last year. I can't find his name in last years state book. I'm getting old so my eyes aren't what they used to be, so I might be overlooking it.
  21. The allstar team ws showing Schwartz as the 152 lb wrestler. Although I still think Flamme would give Ehr all he would want. Make up yoour mind. Who is 152 and 160 on your all star team.
  22. There is no way CP would lose 152. Flamme hasn't lost in Indiana this year and seldom gives up any points. 160 would probablygo your way but isn't a lock. Schurg has beaten the 17th ranked kid 8-1.
  23. Buckley had 2 (5 to 3) matches with Garza snf Fuqua destroyed Garza 13-4
  24. It sure is goint to be a tough weight class at the CP sectional. Micic from Hanover is also there. I would be surprised if Buckley could beat both Fuqua and Micic on the same day.
  25. I would like Crown Point's chances at 152, 160, 171 and 215 also, they certainly aren't gimmes for the all star team.
