  1. I've had the opportunity to watch Nick Lee since he was a 10yr old. And I've had several chances to see him wrestle in the past two years. And I have never underestimated his ability. I think we just have a different idea of what it takes to get on a list like that. For me a wrestler has to prove his dominating ways over time in High School, since all freshman have competed primarily in the 2 year age group format. So a freshman just doesn't have time. It's a fairly subjective issue anyway so making it a bit more difficult to achieve with a time factor just adds a little objectiveness. I agree that he's the real deal. The real issue I had here was being told I was "discrediting" a kid by not having him on my list. As soon as that word was used it wasn't about wresting anymore for me. I suppose tossing such words around like "discredit" without understanding their meaning is easy for some. But I take someone telling me I'm harming someone's good name seriously. And that was clearly never the case. I don't mean to distract from the subject or from impact this kid is going to make.
  2. WOW is right, nice win for the freshman. I'm sure Micic's gonna go up or down so he doesn't have to wrestle Lee(are you serious?). Micic has won twice by tech fall in the second period against Davis. So don't count on the "kid" moving anywhere. And I'll call Micic with 2 takedowns and a turn. No escape for Lee. Micic all day and night. ;D
  3. Where will these guys be meeting up this weekend?
  4. apparently you need more practice Karl. To discredit someone is to harm their good name. Not including someone on this list is in no way harming them or their good name. So maybe it's more a matter of you choosing your words more carefully as not to offend.
  5. Oh I see, so you've personally decided that "consideration" is the telling factor for accrediting an individual for a fictitious list. How brilliant and at the same time full of yourself. At least I qualify my statements as "my opinion". And if it's ok with you I'll stick to my opinion. Actually I'll stick to it regardless... ;D
  6. LOL! First, I'm well aware of Nick Lee's accomplishments and the placements you've listed. Second, and I'll have to go out of order here. I've not yet heard anyone, including me, "discredit" his accomplishments. You state he is more deserving of mention. More deserving than who? Seniors who have already wrestled 150 HS matches or more, and are currently ranked nationally? I think he will get there, but only time will tell for me. If the list was pound for pound freshman and sophs he would clearly be at the top of the list. But as I said, in my opinion NO freshman, or sophs for that matter, deserve to be on a pound for pound list with nationally ranked seniors. But again, that's JMO.
  7. "bug" is putting it mildly. But no he was not 100%
  8. IMO calling any freshman best pound for pound is ridiculous. Micic Corsaro Robinson Lecount Forte Big Wes (Bernard) All those aren't Sr. but they should be. There are a couple of soph. that could make the list next year or the year after, but not just yet for me. IMO these guys have proven over time to be the top guys pound for pound.
  9. It was a Beat down for sure. When was the last time Ramos took a beating like that??
  10. Who has he wrestled "of note" this year?
  11. I think he wins it at 120 unless he's a scale casualty. I was judging his size at 126# next to Micic. I know Micic walks around under 130 and he looked to me to be 8-10 pounds bigger. my guess is he's all of 140 when he at his everyday weight.
  12. Thank you for clearing that up for us.
  13. At Munster 113# - #1 Pepple EN d. #9 Trent NP by fall #5 Crary Mun d. #9 Trent NP by fall #5 Crary Mun d. #1 Pepple EN 2-1
  14. Since you asked, no he wasn't hurt. Davis is a stud and the whirlwind travel and training in Europe up until the end of Nov. for Micic with his first folkstyle practice less than a week before the Harvest may have rusted up his mat wrestling some. He hadn't done any mat wrestling since last march. So my guess is he'll sharpen up some. His take down in less than 15 sec seemed pretty good. IMO he starts distancing himself from the field as the weeks go by and he freshens up his folkstyle wrestling. But JMO
  15. Crary over Turner was 8-2. 4 td's for Crary, and Turner got cut twice.
  16. Who is the 126# from Cath you have beating Zach Davis of Penn??
  17. He's got as good a shot as anyone to win it at 149.
  18. At 106 #4Reitz of Griffith over #5Glogouski of Fairfield by pin.
  19. I don't know how he could possibly certify at 113 it's a solid 20lb cut. But who knows.....
  20. He was also pinned that day by jack tolin of Chesterton who's currently #7 in at the mville ss. If they both make 106 I'm going with Egli and Reitz.
