  1. I remember reading a story on here a few years ago about a dad and coach that just started taking his son to matches, practices, etc. But didn't make or expect the little one to practice/compete. If I remember right eventually the boy was dying to wrestle.
  2. Ryan Fish from Madison had over 200 all purpose yards in week 1 and 249 in week 2.
  3. Bout time Dana told Alves to go 185
  4. Lytle vs Serra just added to the card. This should be a great fight and hopefully Lytle gets revenge for a match that he won the first time around (at least on my card!).
  5. Could be worse, 120's main event is Akiyama vs Bisping
  6. Mir/Nog II is the main event. Bader/Lil' Nog will be co-headline.
  7. I can't even navigate through Twitter, of Facebook for that matter. It was on mmajunkie
  8. Dana tweeted that Velasquez/Lesnar will not take place in Indy
  9. Columbus East 3-5 vs Beaver Creek OH 43-24, vs Charlotte FL 26-37, vs Piqua OH 47-24, vs Lower Dauphin PA 18-56, vs. Wadsworth Blue 18-56, vs Hartland MI 16-45, vs. Manatee FL 15-52, vs Wadsworth Red 43-19. Individual Results (Exhibition records included) - Mitch Gilbert 103 - 6-3 (Copper Medal), Dan Nelson 103 - 5-4, Luke Schroeder 112/119 - 7-1 (Undefeated at 112, Silver Medal), Baron Rieker 119/125 - 5-3 (Copper Medal), Mike Wayant 125/130 - 2-6, Zach Rieker 125-130 - 5-3 (Copper Medal), Steven Rieker 130/135 - 4-4, Tim Shuler 140 - 3-5, Kyle Stillinger 145 - 3-5, Logan Carpenter - 1-7, Eli Lauderbaugh 160 - 3-5, Clayton Ferguson 171 - 5-4 (Copper Medal), JJ Huddelston 189 - 2-6, Rob McKee 215/HWT 6-4.
  10. I'll just randomly show up at seeding meetings if nothing else!
  11. First (and according to Mrs TripleB the last!) Disney Duals and it's a blast. Hats off to Columbus East's Sergio Garcia. He might have had the toughest match today. His opponent? Appendicitis! Last night Sergio was complaining of a stomach ache. By the time we got to Disney today he could barely move. The trainer recommended going to a doctor. Mom and Dad decided E.R. Wham, bam, 6 hours later and an emergency appendectomy later and Sergio is resting peacefully at Florida Hospital in downtown Orlando. Your a trooper Sergio! Best wishes from The Columbus East wrestlers and coaching staff!
  12. Pending school board approval Tyson Skinner has been named the newest Head Wrestling Coach at Madison Cons. High School. Coach Skinner is a Madison Grad and has spent the last 14 years at Scottsburg where he did a phenomenal job on the Warrior program. Rumor is upon being named coach, he will insitute an all face mask rule for the Cubs. ;D Congrats TSkin Dustin Bentz - Former Head Coach, Madison Wrestling.
  13. Then sign up to up to be part of the coaching staff. Team Indiana camps and trips are a chance for wrestlers to learn some independence and basic living skills.
  14. In the stone ages most parents didn't go. Worry about covering cost for the wrestler, then if the family can go, okay. If not, then stay home. It might serve the wrestler better if the family didn't go actually.
  15. 145lbers are linemen at Madison!
  16. Colorado has officially started the musical chairs: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5271438
  17. On the Underground last night rumors were going about Rua/Evans, Rampage/Machida co-main event. I would doubt it, but man would that be nice.
  18. Hoosier Elite out of Bloomington is also going.
  19. Governor Daniels (see when I'm not taking a shot I give the office the respect it deserves) has always advocated for consolidation of schoool corporations. This might not be a bad idea, I haven't done any research into it. However I do hope that he's not sabbotaging the funding in order to get his way.
  20. Good points Panther, the state government, as a whole, should share the blame. I was just pointing out that it was unfair to dump it on the president's lap. I would agree to a tax increase, but I fear many wouldn't. Clarksville Indiana recently had to RIF 21 of it's 90 educators b/c the public voted down a tax increase. Why are schools RIF'ing and closing schools? Could be the 300 million dollar cut in education by...........not our legislators...............our governor. http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=20106010365
