    Plus, Buckley has that huge win over Al Smith 3rd placer Michael Garza, as well as 5-2 win over Terrance Kennedy who took Marciano to double OT. As far as Miracle, her summer wrestling is what has her ranked at this point, including a recent win over Michael Garza and owning a lifetime win over Stevan Micic.

    McGinley's overall season, with losses to Belden and Whitten is what held him back. The loss to Belden really hurts him since Belden has losses to Whitten, Fuqua, Marciano, Boston, Lile, and Micic. This tells me that all of these kids are probably better than McGinley as well. Buckley's ability to come back for 3rd after losing that early shows me that he needs to be ranked especially after he beats Krumlauf 7-0 who Kuhn only beat 6-5. Also, Buckley has beaten McGinley as recently as this past summer, so it's not unrealistic to think that this was a case not being ready to wrestle the first match.

    Jackson gets the nod over Justin Kieffer. Let's compare their State Finals last year.. Kieffer takes 4th, losing to Jackson's teammate Derek Bevans, who by all accounts Jackson gets the better of. Jackson takes 2nd, with 3 falls and an overtime loss to one of the greatest high school wrestlers to ever come through Indiana.

    hey everyone, with this huge week of tournaments, there is about 3x more results to sift thru than there normally is. that being said, tonite is new years eve and tomorrow is new years day, so i won't have a ton of time to work on the rankings. expect the next update hopefully this sunday night, and at the very latest by thursday night of next week. also, just looking at it, there will be new #1's at 125 and 135.. can i please have someone email a picture of jared mckinley-perry meridian to rankingsguy@indianamat.com

    Every college tournament that counts toward the results for the automatic NCAA qualification bids now is required to use 3-2-2 periods plus riding time, so yes, riding time was used at the Midlands.

    that match is at 130. and i agree, its a must win for the pirates. they could also use a big win out of michael garza over fuqua at 103.

    One that will make an immediate impact at a high weight class will be Robert Stevenson of Portage. 160 or 171 and he could go to state next year and get a medal as freshman

    Merrillville has been in the Lake County tournament as recently as 2004 when we saw English vs. Tsirtsis. Crown Point is the only Lake County team that has never participated.

    Y2, Karl, and myself were absent from the meeting because we mistakenly thought that it began at 2 pm instead of at 10 am. Luckily, I did not make the drive out there to find they out, but they unfortunately did.
