  1. 1.5% of 175 will be 172.7 if they weigh in at 170.4 that would not count. They would have to weigh in at a minimum of 172.7 for them to continue to go down weight. weigh ins have to be done with an official present and I believe you can request them to arrive at your school to do them, no competition needed.
  2. With the coronavirus causing tournaments to be canceled. Kids being quarantined for extended periods of time. (some multiple times!!) Seeing all this going on leaves me to wonder what kind of records could we see going into Bankers life field house. Last year we had 3 individual that came into the state finals with a combined record of 38-7 Garrett stuckman from wawasee 16-0 Jacob Maldonado from merriville 9-1 Ketre Dickens from Avon 13-6
  3. This was going to be the year we get track..... hmm conveniently it got canceled.
  4. This is tragic, was it because of the amount of school that will attend?
  5. Frontier internet screwing over the spartan classic for years...
  6. I was going to say to not control what a kid listens to or what they do before a match. The I read what you said and completely agree. It is easy to think that they should know what to do before a match but their is a lot of kids that did not grow up in the sport and are just starting to wrestle in high school that need guidance. Good comment man!
  7. With the upcoming holidays around the corner and all this covid -19 stuff going on, what are some big tournaments that will happen? What will be different? and who is going where? we all know about team state going to be held in different places per class. What about the al smith? Spartan Classic?
  8. He is wrestling the national circuit this year
  9. Matside weigh in is a way to fight against bad weight management and weight cutting..
  10. Always in September, with the vivid 19 re open plan in effect what do you guys think the chances are that the HSPO Will go down?!
  11. What time is weigh ins tomorrow?? Flyer is not that informative on weigh ins
  12. Where are they at? What is your personal trick to getting the best spot possible? And who is ready to run?!
  13. was Reading a post earlier about the Indiana state series and that their should be wrestle backs. Seen another post about Indiana mat ranking, setting a PR for most ranked kids going to state using their ranking system. So I decided to combine both of these topics together with a article posted By Y2CJ41 called “ Toe to Joe with IHSAA Assistant Commissioner Bobby Cox” In the article the question about wrestle backs appears. Wrestlebacks: Why do you think the coaches have been pushing so hard for them and what is preventing them from being passed? coaches feel that in some situations, a wrestler could get caught in a move during a bout and lose when in their mind the losing wrestler was really the best wrestler and should have the opportunity to "wrestle back" to a better position. The IHSAA individual tournament series is about determining a state champion in 14 weight classes. Adding wrestlebacks is nothing more than adding matches to an already long program to determine something that is already being determined. When the individual tournament concludes at Conseco on Saturday night, I believe we have accomplished our goal in identifying the best wrestler in 14 weight classes. SO MY QUESTION IS HAS A #1 Ever not make it to state due to a loss in the opening round or ticket round at semi state?
  14. Indiana if added classses can do something different at the end and do an absolute state champion .
  15. If I’m not mistaken I believe their is only 3 states that due true state champion without divisions. California, Indiana and New Jersey I think. We need more club wrestling in the state to be able to grow the sport. Instead of putting divisions and basically loosing our legendary semi-states, we use club wrestling to build up our Athletes and make Indiana more competitive then what it is now. Which by the way shout out to crown point and Brownsburg on making Intermat top teams in the country.
  16. Who will be the one to share them with all of us?!
