  1. I don't think people will accuse him of anything. No excuses.
  2. Thanks maligned. That clears things up!
  3. I didn't notice you posted both of those. I feels you.
  4. Because Stevenson won a state title last year while Lydy lost in the ticket round.
  5. I understand that but if they (Moorseville sectional) are not as strong as the Avon sectional then they shouldn't have a higher quota. I'm not sure if there are other cases like this. It seems like Avon sectional proved to be slightly better, so a wrestler that got 5th or 6th at Avon sectional could have possibly done better if they were at Mooresville sectional. Therefore, Avon's quota would be equal or higher correct? Isn't that how the quota system is calculated or am I missing something?
  6. This is a good example of a flaw. Would it not be more accurate to give quotas after the state tournament? It seems illogical to give a sectional or regional a quota before they are even wrestled. For instance, if Mooresville sectional turns out to have very few state qualifiers or placers, and Avon sectional ends up placing more or having more wrestlers advance further, shouldn't the numbers be adjusted? Just because a sectional or regional were weak last year does not mean the same will happen this year. Same goes for if a sectional or regional was strong and turns out not be do as well this year. The current year should be accounted for in the forumla.
  7. Lydy is not a lock. I would switch him out with Randy Scott.
  8. I can agree with both situations. Merrillville has the most champs but might not have the most placers. It's different every year!
  9. He is asking how, if an underclassman can can score up to 4 points, can a team with 3 wrestlers score 13 points? (because 3x4=12, and 4x4 does not equal 20) 1A schools teach math differently than 2A and 3A schools. That's why their seniors don't earn any points after regionals.
  10. There have only been 8 four timers. That in itself is not often. 4 people in 77 years. We better slow down.
  11. http://www.ihsaa.org/Sports/Boys/Wrestling/StateFinalsRecords/tabid/321/Default.aspx#2204233-four-time-state-champions not often
  12. There are 4 #1's in each quarter final (Regional Champs). All #1's wrestle #4's first and 2's wrestle 3's. Everything about positioning on the bracket is a random draw after that. Lee is a 1 seed, as well as 3 others. Todrank is a 2 seed. Also, N Lee is at 132 and J Lee is at 138
  13. 10 is a far reach, but Cummings Hildebrandt Reitz/Black Covaciu Forte Hughes/Sopko Mammolenti Osborn Woods Streck Cummings, Covaciu, Forte, Hughes,Osborn, Woods, and Streck are all very realistic. So 7 favorites with a possible 10 champs.
  14. Wow Merrilville SS could possibly have 10 state champs. That would be impressive.
  15. While it is a valid list, I do agree that this years 120 class is deep as well. 2012 was just insane.
  16. Paul Petrov Brenden Campbell Mason Todd Adam Garcia Luke Welch Alonzo Shephard Sam Goebel Erique Early Not to mention Cody Phillips who did not wrestle at state due to injury.
  17. These kids are hard to spot during sectionals. Some of them don't peek until the state finals or semi-state. Too early to tell.
