  1. Good luck as well to the Mt.Vernon Wildcats who are seeded 3rd in 2A as well as the Memorial Tigers, Gibson Southern Titans, and Tecumseh Braves! Southern Indiana is pretty well represented in the Team State Duals!
  2. Wargel wrestled well enough to get in the SS rankings, possibly the state rankings, I think Harris should fall way down, I wasn't as impressed as some thought he should be. He took 2 pretty "bad" losses the past 2 days.
  3. Not too many surprises so far...Quinn Harris loses 2nd round to unseeded St.X kid. Whoberry from Mt.Vernon upsets state ranked Wilkerson of Franklin in the 2nd round.
  4. I'm surprised nobody else called me out on that sooner, I was thinking of Hunter McCormick from Ev.Central when they said McCormick vs Schnell would be a good matchup. Slipped my mind that Yorktown was there, but with that being said I believe that will be a good matchup, Cael is the favorite IMO, but don't count out Schnell.
  5. I never said no one has a shot against Joe, I simply meant that I feel no one at the MD Holiday Classic has a shot. Alot of good wrestlers will be at 138 there, but I don't think any of them are on Joe's level. Now Cash, James, etc is a whole new story. But, just simply talking this tournament I feel Joe won't be touched, like I said though, I could be wrong, kinda hope I am so we can see some good wrestling!!
  6. In the new rankings he is at 132? But has been wrestling at 138 to my knowledge.
  7. I think Harris poses the best "threat" to Lee given he was a State Qualifier last year and has obviously found himself in a big match and was able to come out with a win.
  8. I still say its a battle for 2nd place at 138. Who is going to be lucky enough to get opposite of Lee and make it to the finals. No disrespect to the other competitors, but the Lee boys are just on a whole different level.
  9. I don't think there is a comparison to be made, Joe Lee is on a whole different level then Harris. Harris is a tough wrestler, but he doesn't have the accolades that Joe Lee has. I could be wrong, and I usually am, but Joe by at least a major over Harris if the match happens.
  10. Yes, I know that is where you should post them, but not everybody does so, I wish more coaches did post individual results, but unfortunately that doesn't happen.
  11. Unfortunately for Oak Hill, they will have to qualify for NEXT years Team State based on this season's results of their individuals in the State Tournament, so if they are as good as they say they are, they should have some underclassmen advance far into the State Tournament and that should hopefully be enough to score enough points to be invited to wrestle at Team State next season.
  12. They could possibly happen at the Holiday Classic in a couple weeks.
  13. I believe they were posted, just not in the results section. In the Mater Dei vs Evansville Memorial thread it has some results posted and has Lehman and Forzley getting beat.
  14. As does Belleville West, they always have tough kids. I noticed a lot of them placed at MD last year, and aren't ranked in there state. This will definitely be worth the price of admission. Should be a great 2 days of wrestling.
  15. This tournament is right around the corner, and looks like it is shaping up to be another good one with lots of state ranked wrestlers going at it. Who are the favorites? Does anybody have a chance to challenge Mater Dei for the team title? I put together a list of all the state ranked kids. 106 Cameron Diep (New Pal) 5th Mason Miranda (Avon) 9th Nolan Weidner (Mater Dei) 7th in the EV SS Saul Ervin (Union County) 1st in KY Konner Kraeszig (St. Xavier) 8th in KY 113 Paul Konrath (Mt.Vernon) 2nd Alec White (New Pal) 4th Kyle Luigs (Mater Dei) 12th Tristan Sellmer (Floyd Central) 14th Austin Cook (St.Xavier) 5th in KY 120 Will Egli (Mater Dei) 7th Jacob Skaggs (Avon) 12th Eugene Starks (New Pal) 16th Bryce Sheffer (Union County) 1st in KY Michael Beets (St.Xavier) 3rd in KY 126 Chad Red (New Pal) 1st Alex Johnson (Mater Dei) 5th Trevor Reese (Franklin) 6th in EV SS Jared Cunningham (Floyd Central) 7th in EV SS Danten Rice (Trinity) 7th in KY 132 Nick Lee (Mater Dei) 2nd at 138 Keegan Duncan (Trinity) 1st in KY Chance Oxford (Union County) 8th in KY 138 Joe Lee (Mater Dei) 8th at 132 Quinn Harris (Avon) 3rd Jared Timberman (New Pal) 13th Tyler Crowl (Floyd Central) 6th in EV SS Hunter Castleberry (New Albany) 7th in EV SS Dallas Miles (St.Xavier) 9th in KY Steven Matheny (Trinity) 15th in KY 145 Blake Jourdan (Mater Dei) 6th Shane Wilkerson (Franklin) 15th Austin Bethel (Mt.Vernon) 16th Hudson Heidorf (Trinity) 1st in KY Tim Pike (Union County) 14th in KY Nathan Smalling (Belleville West) HM in IL 3A 152 Burk VanHorn (Franklin) 11th Tre Lynch (New Albany) 12th Marcus Miranda (Avon) 5th in EV SS Jaylen Wallace (New Pal) 10th in NC SS Ben Barton (Trinity) 2nd in KY Jackson Oxford (Union County) 3rd in KY Caleb Ray (St.Xavier) 12th in KY Nick Foster (Belleville West) 3rd in IL 3A 160 Ashton Forzley (Mater Dei) 7th Nick Brickens (New Pal) 10th Nathan Haddad (St.Xavier) 8th in KY Avery Buckman (Union County) 11th in KY 170 Jacob Stevenson (Franklin) 1st Brandon Helm (Avon) 9th Noah Huelsing (Evansville Memorial) 3rd in EV SS Dominic Lampe (St.Xavier) 1st in KY 182 Evan Elmore (Avon) 7th Sam Bassemier (Mater Dei) 11th Tyler Frankone (Trinity) 1st in KY Elijah Allgeier (St.Xavier) 6th in KY Kane Morris (Union County) 10th in KY 195 Seth Orth (Mater Dei) 12th Lucas Miozza (Trinity) 2nd in KY Cole Sherman (Union County) 3rd in KY 220 Gunnar Larson (Avon) 5th Tristin Choate (Mt.Vernon) 4th in EV SS Noah Grable (New Pal) 5th in NC SS Conner Sherman (Union County) 4th in KY Joseph Green (St.Xavier) 7th in KY 285 Quinn York (Franklin) 6th Brett Henson (Avon) 12th Adrian Butler (Mater Dei) 8th in EV SS Raynel Brown (Union County) 3rd in KY Landon Corolla (Trinity) 6th in KY Daniel Sheridan (St.Xavier) 9th in KY Ricky Nelson (Belleville West) 4th in IL 3A
  16. I haven't seen McCormick wrestle this year yet, but going off previous years Schnell dominates him. Shouldn't be close. Did they meet up at the Castle Invitational?
  17. Any chance for a new update today or this week???
  18. Thanks! Where did Castle win at? I saw they scored 15? Any other surprises?
  19. I know MD won this dual, but does anybody have individual results? Lee vs Ramsey at 138? Montgomery vs Schnell at 145? Forzley vs Lockyear at 170?
  20. Where is the other Willis who wrestled 126 last year??
  21. I think you got to go with the 2003 Mater Dei team. 13 Sectional Champions 11 Regional Champions 7 Semi-State Champions 4 State Champions Team State Champions by 19 (42-23) in the Finals over Griffith
  22. I don't know if Joe is "bigger" than Nick, it could be that Nick wanted to go 132, and Joe couldn't make 126 so his only choice is to go up to 138 to have a spot in the lineup?
  23. Nick Lee wrestled last night at 132 against Evansville North. His little brother Joe wrestled 138.
