  1. Talked to Drousias yesterday and he said they will prolly be at 95 as well. I have noticed Freeman has been wrestling great, not sure if he will be at 80 or 85 though.
  2. 90 looks to be the same kids that battled it out at 75 last year. Hopefully they separate them better this year. It will be a fun bracket with Drousias, Mis, Campbell, Conley, Seltzer, Alstott, and Rioux. Anyone of those guys could win it.
  3. Nick, high school wasn't your only team state champs... another tattoo maybe?
  4. 75-Trey Bates 80-Alex Cottey 85-Jesse Mendez 90-Colton Drousias 95-Logan Bailey 102-Brayden Littell 110-Alec Viduya 117-Graham Calhoun 125-Tyce Frieje 132-Raymond Ellis 140-Mason Winner 150-Abel Verbeek 160-Silas Allred 175-275???? (not sure what grade some of these big kids are in)
  5. I was wondering the same thing. I have been checking everyday for the last week.
  6. 7. Walsh just won 11-2 ending with a big 5 point throw. If he wins his next match he might face Ness.
  8. This past weekend Indiana Outlaws took two teams to Toledo Ohio for the National Middle School Duals and placed 4th and 6th. The gold team was really close to taking 2nd only losing by 2 dual points to the 2nd place team. The team was a little beat up after losing 2 wrestlers to injuries earlier in the day or it could have been a different outcome. I recommend this tournament to anyone debating on taking a team next year. It was ran smoothly, great competition, great awards, and it was broadcasted on flo. All American's for Indiana Hayden Watson(75) 4-1 with 2 pins Jesse Mendez(80) 7-1 with 4 pins Drake Campbell(90) 6-2 with 1 pin Logan Bailey(95) 7-1 with 4 pins Brayden Littell(105) 7-1 with 4 pins Graham Calhoun(119)6-2 with 3 pins Deven Williams(119) 6-2 with 1 pin Jacob Laplace(136) 6-2 with 2 pins Silas Allred(175) 6-2 with 1 pin

  11. These are all the Indiana boys that went undefeated or had 1 loss with a minimum of 5 matches. Sorry if I missed anyone. This competition had some amazing wrestlers from the west coast to the east coast. Great job boys way to represent the state of Indiana. 3rd Grade and Under: Cameron Harden (43) 6-1 Luke Rioux (46) 6-1 Nathan Rioux (49) 7-0 Parker Reynolds (56) 6-1 Brady Ison (65) 6-1 Caden Brewer (80) 6-1 Drew Mills (HWT) 7-0 6th Grade and Under: Nathan Rioux (50) 7-0 Mason Day (50) 5-1 Seth Syra (55) 6-0 Cheaney Schoff (75) 5-1 Jesse Mendez (80) 7-0 Tyler Conley (85) 6-1 Blake Boarman (100) 6-1 Jayden Reynolds (110) 6-0 Cole Ross (110) 5-1 Raymond Ellis (125) 7-0 Middle School: Alex Cottey (75) 5-0 Raymond Rioux (80) 5-0 Jace Alexander (80) 5-1 Hayden Watson (80) 4-1 Braxton Alexander (90) 5-0 Brenden Mattingly (95) 4-1 AJ Black (100) 5-1 Owen Sego (100) 4-1 Jacob Moran (100) 4-1 Brayden Little (100) 4-1 Camden Chatterton (110) 5-0 Ethan Hicks (130) 4-1 Nathan Conley (140) 4-1 High School: Asa Garcia (102) 8-0 Brayden Little (102) 5-1 Kory Cavanaugh (108) 6-0 Matt Gimson (108) 6-1 Cayden Rooks (108) 6-1 Graham Rooks (117) 7-0 Jabin Wright (117) 6-0 Colton Cummings (117) 5-1 Breyden Bailey (130) 6-0 Zach Melloh (138) 5-1 Nathan Conley (138) 4-1 Myles Krintz (145) 5-1 Tommy Cash (145) 5-1 Ethan Herrin (155) 7-0 Jared Ball (167) 7-0 Drew Hughes (167) 6-0 Cayden Whitaker (167) 6-1 Cameron jones (182) 5-1 Blake Rypel (200) 6-0 Matt Adams (295) 6-1
  12. I love track... If a kid has an impressive profile he can put some fear in his opponent before they even step on the mat.
  13. Sports these days is very sports specific and it most likely is hurting the numbers. Just wait till Freestyle state when then numbers drop below half of what it was last year. My boy won't even be able to go for the triple crown. Damn shame
  14. 125- #2 Delgado 133- #5 Clark 141- #1 Stieber 149- #2 Tsirtsis 157- #3 Green 165- #1 Jordan 174- #3 Evans 184- #7 Reyes 197- #4 Burak 285- #4 Telford Iowa, OSU, Minn
  15. Fabio Jr said it perfectly, the problem is the local freestyle tournaments are a waste of time. The weekends after folkstyle state consist of some of the best national tournaments in the country and we won't be missing them.
  16. If we really want to grow Greco in Indiana, then ISWA should require wrestlers to attend 2 greco tournaments before they can wrestle at state. If they do this then every kid that participates will place. But seriously the numbers will be even lower this year bc all the kids that won't be at freestyle will definitely not be at greco.
  17. I can't wait to see how low the numbers are this year.
  18. I think Mattyb and brey are right on the money with the seeding. It would not be that stressful to do it correctly since you have to wrestle the weight you signed up for. All you would have to do is close the sign ups Saturday afternoon and you will have that entire day to do the seeding. Also there is an option through track where parents can state if their kid has met any seeding criteria when signing them up. With all this information and time staff can post brackets the night before. If a kid misses weight then he is out and his oppent gets a bye.
  19. My issue is that we are forced to wrestle in 'local' freestyle tournaments where we would only get 3 matches at best. We love spending our time and money at wrestling events, but they have to be worth it. Instead of wasting our time qualifing my kid could get 5-8 matches a weekend against some of the best kids in the country at National tournaments. There should be some type of wild card for state or atleast allow placers from the year before get an automatic bid. Or kids that place at folkstyle state get a bid for freestyle. The state tournament is supposed to be tough, but by doing it this way the tournament will be missing all the studs that did (USA nationals, Dominate the Dells, Tour of America Nationals, TN Duals, Heartland Duals, Ohio TOC, Viper Pit Duals, Middle School Duals just to name a few).
  20. Maybe HWAY will capitalize on ISWA huge blunder and do a freestyle state this year.
  21. What we signed up for as a parent is to do the best thing for our kids and local freestyle tournaments is not in my boys best interest. These national tournaments we attend are far more important in his growth as a wrestler. I am confident that he gets more then enough freestyle exposure at is academy to place or even win a national freestyle tournament. Unfortunately he won't be a state champ this year. oh well
  22. haha good. I like it better that way.
  23. I heard this is one of the top Dual tournaments in the nation, which is why we are foregoing Heartland Duals to battle with the Outlaws.
  24. What about allowing kids that placed last year in the freestyle state tournament be their qualifier for this year. Other kids can qualify by going to 2 events or 1. I don't understand why ISWA wants to eliminate a large part of the state, this will only hurt the numbers and their dual teams. Everyone knows how great IL is, so why wouldnt the kids up north take advantage of the great competition and elite tournaments?
